It’s going to be Pioli… I mean where else is he going to go ? Take a year off ? Go coach in Turkey ? If we were getting Conte it would have happened already. Italiano has a project at Fiorentina.

 

It’s going to be Conte at this point. I think Conte flirted with Napoli at first just to entice other clubs, but no one else is coming for him. Schira says that Napoli are the only team in Italy that made the phone call. Outside of Italy there are no takers. All the big teams seem to have their coaches selected for next year. If Conte wants to coach this year, it can only be Napoli

My thinking is that Conte is not putting pen to paper unless he gets certain transfer guarantees. According to Di Marzio, Conte already phoned Manna to tell him not to sell Di Lorenzo. We’re starting off on the right foot lol

 

I think he will regret leaving. I don’t see him doing well under Motta.

Italiano is a logical successor to Motta. He’s going to the CL. Saputo’s are willing to spend some money this market. He’s in a very good position.

 

Conte and Napoli are now locked in negotiations. Things like staff salaries and images right etc. (ADL’s favourite clause). Between Conte and his staff, they will cost Napoli 20 million a season assuming they hit all their bonuses.

I was listening to journalist Luca Cerchione on OCW. He said that if Napoli don’t make top 5 next season, it will be a financial disaster
