I was on a ship off the coast of Bahrain if I remember correctly. We came back from from our last night of Liberty before sailing off again drunk and watched the game in our shop. I wasn’t a Madrid fan then but that was such an amazing moment. The beginning of the cardiac team
Unforgettable. This one header changed the trajectory of the club and with it the careers of so many players. Sergio Ramos is a god for this.
I was talking about that to a friend that sent me a meme that Kroos has had a better career than Messi. i said well we could say the same of a bunch of Madrid players, especially Sergio since he also has a WC and he has 2 euros

Comfortably beat Olympiacos 87-76 who had knocked out Barca in the playoffs. 🚨 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Real Madrid reach Euro League's final and will face Panathinaikos in the final. pic.twitter.com/LvPxf6s4pJ— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 24, 2024
So you became a fan of the team after the arrival of James? Had you supported any European club before that?
Easy! Real was just better and by far better than any other team in Euroleague. Of course, anyone can happen in one match. But they should win. Double Europoean glory!
Nah. A "proper" club wouldn't still be waiting [after nearly a decade and almost annual transfer negotiations] for Mbappe to decide if he wants to be here or not and then be so desperate for him to play the first few weeks of a multi year contract that it pressures him into foregoing a once in a lifetime opportunity that would theoretically improve his brand amd career stock thus benefitting the club by increasing the value of its investment.
As if playing Euros and Olympics back to back after fulll league season doesn't increase injury risk. Ask Pedri. Club management is smarter than stupid troll. What a surprise.
Club should also keep in consideration that Mbappe has basically been on vacation for the second part of the season at PSG so burnout and fatigue aren't really a factor on his case. This is the type of thing where I might defer to Carlo, who's tremendous experience and good nature might lead him one way or the other but not be mislead by ego, greed, or undue influence.
I just realized this is one of the most significant accomplishments a player could have in the sport. Only a few have managed to do it. https://www.fifa.com/fifaplus/en/to...ris2024/articles/world-champions-olympic-gold
🗣 Ancelotti: "Bellingham is Kroos' heir? No, I think not. The closer Bellingham is to the penalty area the better is for us. We have other midfielders." pic.twitter.com/YVDnZiWrbi— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 25, 2024
Sounds like Carlo will continue with the 4-4-2 diamond formation next season. Players aside, I don't see why he would want to disrupt a formation and set of tactics that have proved to be very successful this season.
But he's the perfect player to step in immediately for Vini or Mbappe, and the RW isn't even his preferred position. Carlo moved Rodrygo away from being a pure RW a couple of months ago. I think this was done strategically to begin to move Rodrygo into a more central role.
As I’ve said before, he’d probably be fine in the 1st year and he might even feel he could fight for his place. Until it becomes abundantly clear he’s second choice and gets a lucrative EPL offer.
Carlo out here giving Kroos and Kepa some good memories, Meanwhile Luis Enrique treating his players like dogs and Laporta throwing out staff like that cowboy scene in Casino.
Apparently, Oblak is in the market this summer with contract ending in 2025. So maybe no starting spot offer for Lunin from a big club yet. Good for us. 🚨 Andriy Lunin is renewing till 2029, whatever happens in CL Final will not have an impact on it. @MarioCortegana, @YouTube ✍️ pic.twitter.com/BwfJTEaZ06— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 26, 2024
