Klopp leaving Liverpool at the end of this season. I wonder if can be convinced to take over as Bundestrainer after the Euros?
Can't see it. Klopps intending to take a years sabbatical, which would rule him out? Unless, Rudi once again steps in until Klopp is energised again.
Yeah why not Voller or even Wagner or Wolf takes interim charge until 2025. Then Klopp can have 1 year to prepare for the WC.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of André Breitenreiter as the new Head Coach of Huddersfield Town!André joins the Terriers on a contract until 2026, and will take control of the First Team next week (w/c 19 February 2024).Willkommen, André 👋#htafc pic.twitter.com/5WDRXD7LVV— Huddersfield Town (@htafc) February 15, 2024
Roger Schmidt is on the hot seat at Benfica. Currently trailing Sporting in the league standings and also lost a h2h to them in the first leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Benfica also took a 0-5 loss to Porto in league play
Former player Julian Schuster will replace Streich as head coach of Freiburg for the 2024/25 season. End of an era https://www.transfermarkt.de/schust...it-und-herausforderung-quot-/view/news/435299
Schmidt's Benfica lost a H2H vs Sporting in Portuguese league play and look increasingly languid in the title race However they did win 2-1 vs Marseille in EL Klopp's Liverpool lost 0-3 to Atalanta
Klopp's farewell tour continues to hit a snag losing to Crystal Palace at home Aston Villa do them a favour tho beating Arsenal However Man City move into 1st place
Klopp tells it as it is after Liverpool's last couple rubbish results https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/jurgen-klopp-describes-really-rubbish-182025235.html
Liverpool eliminated by Atalanta in EL Which Schmidt's Benfica lose to Marseille in penalties and are also gone
I want to talk about Dettmar Cramer, and I think this post could also fit in the Germany Legacy of the Past thread but I feel it's more appropiate here. In terms of Bundesliga performance, Dettmar Cramer is undoubtedly amongst Bayern's worst ever coaches, yet he managed to win two European Cups and an Intercontinental Cup during his stint with Bayern, which is what delayed his sacking in addition to the Bayern players always vouching for him. What amazes me the most is that despite winning two European Cups and an Intercontinental Cup (his only trophies), Dettmar Cramer has been largely forgotten by the public consciousness and is never talked about. When it comes to the succesful Bayern squad of the 1970s the coach most strongly associated to that era is Udo Lattek even though he left Bayern after winning them their first ever European Cup in 1974. Imagine that. Winning three major international trophies as a coach yet nobody remembers him.
Miroslav Klose who's been without a position since being let go by Austrian club SCR Altach, is hoping for a new coaching job and is open to anything https://www.transfermarkt.de/klose-...onzert-ich-nehme-alles-quot-/view/news/436852
Breitenreiter leaves Huddersfield after the club gets relegated to 3rd division in England He had only 2 wins in 15 matches after taking charge in February
Sebastian Rode can see himself beginning as a youth coach once he retires at seasons end https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a2813775089546629036-rode-liebaeugelt-mit-eintracht-job
If the Tuchel move to ManU materializes how do you think he will do? Personally I don't think he is suited for English football.
Not sure why he wouldn't be suited to coaching in England? I mean with Chelsea he won the CL and made two FA Cup finals, he also speaks very good English and has often talked about how he is a pretty big fan of the EPL and enjoyed living in England. He also finally seemed to have gotten over his hero worship of Pep and managed to beat him a couple of times. His strength is tournament football which is fine at a club that doesn't expect to win the league, my guess is he will likely win a domestic cup with Man United and make a deep run in Europe in a couple of years, but will likely not achieve higher then 3rd/4th in the league table.
Usual coaching carousel mehh candidate, Breitenreiter may be an option for Union Berlin They may also stay with interim coach Grote or Bo Svensson https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a831072641727177177-union-auch-breitenreiter-im-rennen

Markus Gisdol has chosen to go separate ways with Samsunspor, even though the club was open to keeping him. He helped them survive relegation and finish 12th in the Turkish league
