I don't want to contradict my prior sentiments about Poch when I was constantly questioning his aptness to lead the squad at the helm- it was a really ugly first half of the season though one big issue with Chelsea was fitness and health- so many dudes were sidelined. At one point, over 30% of the squad was injured.

That said, my objective side also recognizes that Poch assembled a more dynamic team that finished the season with 5 straight wins, and theoretically there is now a serviceable XI to field for next season. The biggest enigma will be fitting Enzo into that squad, and Poch never was able to get him and Moises to work together effectively. Those 5 wins and a noticeably better and more fluid squad, IMO, was enough to keep him safe for another season...he also had 1 year left on the contract.

The only thing I can assume is Bohely is a dumbass (likely) or Poch could get the feeling his project would expire next season and he would invariably not return as a coach so he pushes the departure agenda to find a more stable project...why set the table for someone else to carry to success and invalidate his legacy/hand in the process b/c he did the heavy lifting and cleaning.

Now that he's gone, I hope Tuchel comes back- or someone of that caliber. The more technically minded manager just suits this team so much more.

Sucks for Leverkusen. They were on the brink of making history.

Leverkusen se confió. They came out super flat. To me Hincapié played a solid game. The goals were all on the opposite side.

lookman had the game of his life. A story his great grandchildren will boast about for sure.

sad ending in Europe, but they can still clinch undefeated in domestic.

Alonso's starting line up ruined the game for Leverkusen. He had everyone fit and ready to go but for some reason started with a rotated XI. Tah, Palacios, Stanisic, Adli all terrible. Sad performance, it wasn't even an open match, gasparini completely neutralized this team.

This result puts a bad mark on an amazing season but what they've accomplished so far this season should not be written off simply because of one bad result. Winning the league early and still being on for the double is a good season for any club.

From what I gather is that Enzo has been dealing with a back problem all season.

Chelsea ownership has been abysmal, you can’t expect a group of young guys to gel in a couple weeks and win everything. I’d consider it decent. Lost a final, and made it to 6th place, and European competition.

I found an interesting take on Poch's exit / the ownership vision for the squad. The analysis makes a case for the departure as conflicting styles.

I've never seen this guy's content before, but it seems phenomenal. Backed with some analytics, too, which adds heft to the argument.

MAR & Sebastián Beccacece contract ends in June. It would be amazing to see them back in Ecuador if they do not renew in Spain.

    Alcacer is out of Liga.

The team is coach-less for the time being.

Please bring Edison and Sombra Espinoza to lead.

I wouldn’t go there if I were those guys. I wouldn’t want to be second string when they take bad decisions.

Insua was the first fan Rumored coach and Cesar Farias is the first media rumored coach for Liga. Let hope our admins make a good decision. We need a good coach, a few signings and to preform. We still have the chance for Copa Sudamericana, Copa Interamericana, and a potential match vs Atalanta.

Isaac Alvarez got faced aggressively by fans in Quito. I wish more fans gathered together and threw garbage at him. Serves him right for wanting to be at the spot light so bad and make so many changes at the cost of the team and players.

I get the feeling that our admins arent very fond of these guys. Any chances they had in the past where more for compromiso than anything else. Adrian Gabbarini seems to be in the good eye of these guys. He aways talks well about them and his relationship with them. Isaac Alvarez Personally picked Gabba while completely ignoring Manso. I honestly doubt Mendez will be mentioned as an option with Alvarez in charge. But I still have my fingers crossed because he could be a big solution to many of our problems.

Patricio Hurtado will be the interim coach. The board seemed to not want to go with the idea of having Gabba coach the remaining games. Our administration is weird. I guess the patern is you get once chance and then that it. Bye...

Patricio Hurtado was our scout. I've never been too fond of him as a coach since he always wanted to push his son to play in the teams he coached. But I guess this is his chance and he will gone after they assign a new coach.

Cristian Ramirez is rumored to be called to the Copa America squad. Obando got pneumonia I would call up Jairon Charcopa in his place tbh. Kevin Rodriguez form is questionable right now I am not sure if he will make it. If not I would look into Kike Saverio, Nilson Angulo or John Mercado. Jhonner Chavez I think will be able to make it for the Copa America if not I would call up Yaimar Medina in his place. But I think this will be my final list.

    E. Valencia
    M. Estrada
    J. Charcopa
    P. Vite
    K. Rodríguez
    J. Sarmiento
    K. Páez
    A. Minda
    J. Yeboah
    C. Ramírez
    J. Chávez
    M. Caicedo
    E. Pluas
    J. Méndez
    J. Ortiz
    D. Castillo
    Á. Preciado
    J. Hurtado
    P. Hincapié
    J. Porozo
    W. Pacho
    J. Ordoñez
    F. Torres
    A. Domínguez
    H. Galíndez

That Delfin game last night was crazy. They could have netted 4 more goals. Inter will play their last 2 games next week back to back. Hopefully this helps Delfin get a favorable result to advance and that Bolivian teams manages to pull a win or draw at home against Inter.

Catolica still has one more game left this game will determine if they finish in 1st place or 2nd. Their campaigns are something to be proud of.

I can’t stand the press from Guayaquil. (Not that the press from Quito is any better.) I’ve seen some rumblings about Damian Diaz being called up to the NT. Another name that’s being mentioned is Cristian Ramirez.

Delfin are gonna wish they didn’t concede 3 goals. Delfin got to hope Real Tomayapo pick up a positive result cuz Inter are capable of grabbing all 6pts remaining.

As for Catolica this has been a successful run for them, I hope they take 1st would love to see one Ecuadorian team not crash and burn out in the GS this year.

LOL. I am kinda hoping the Cristian Ramirez rumor is true his ability to play both Left and Right back is very valuable.

There is alot of rumors coming out as to why there are so many delays in releasing the official list. Fsb has a list of 55 players. Janner Corozo, Alan Obando and Javier Burrai where said to be on that list. Today it's was said that Estrada is not on the list and will not be called. Kevin Rodriguez is confirmed injured and won't be called either they are now looking for another call up for his replacement. Once they confirm his replacement the official list will be released.

Inter has been playing terribly the last games I saw from them. So I am hoping they struggle I'm their game in Bolivia and the back to back match weights in to help Delfín get a good result. It would be crazy to have IDV, BSC, LDU, and Catolica plus Delfín in Sudamericana.
