Very good signing. Was needed 2 years ago but now he's here. Velde above is the wing player to beat people DDR has stated they need. He's half Argentinan so that always bodes well.

What a waste. Closest thing to Radja likely to be found at a bargain. Would have expected the DDR and Radja sway to be enough to secure him.

Soule mentioned in case Dybala is sold. He's a really cool young player, drives the attack from the top of the midfield or as a No.10/inverted winger on the right.

Il Romanista had an article about how De Rossi really wants Frattesi, IF Roma qualify for CL and they can take advantage of Inter's financial situation.

I like that someone is acknowledging the lack of speed in the squad

Frattesi would be a nice upgrade, but feel like these big transfers have not gotten Roma anywhere. Pellegrini, Cristante, Abraham, Mancini.

I have no idea who this new director is, but I hope he’s more like Sabatini and less like the last few guys who were here.

Now this would be a massive pickup. That right side was barren this season.

the guy got 7 assists last season on his own, I can’t remember our full backs giving an assist all season!

Bologna might turn it around.....but 3 seperate results all going our way this wkend was never odds on.

CL qualification or not, I wouldn't be getting my hopes up too much about us signing any players of high value/demand. We're not that club right now. Maybe one signing.....maybe.

That time of year again when one snippet of a rumour and folks are all over it like it's a done deal.

We are linked with Kostic as well. Juve asking for €10M. Decent player.

He’ll be 32 years old when the new season starts. Let’s focus on younger players.

Reports of Zale being sold this summer, seems contradictory to be saying what could've been if we held on to Scamacca, Fratessi, Calafori, etc... if we're just gonna off load Zalewski so young.

Someone said earlier, he's been cursed with the adaptability of a young player but if he focused onto one position that highlights his best qualities he'll be a good player for the club.

How are people here feeling about Dybala’s future?

Should he stay or should we let him go?

On the one hand he is clearly our best player and without him we don’t get to the semi final while challenging for top 4

On the other hand, he was missing again for the most important games of the season, with his release clause we would get 12 mill plus his massive wages off the books which would leave room for a marquee signing this year

As much as I love the player, I wonder if it’s time to move on, and I worry his ambition to play for the national team sometimes holds him back from pushing himself physically through these important games where we desperately needed him

he’s world class and a difference maker but only if he’s actually on the pitch…

A difficult one. Perhaps Dybala is a luxury we cannot afford at this point.

If a key facet of our strategy going forward is to bring in (and play) young and hungry talent with a point to prove then perhaps this is the right time to move on from Dybala. Replace him with a Baldanzi type profile (or perhaps a more established but still a lot to prove type profile) and the let the pair of them compete for their place and grow over the season. This is probably what we should be doing. No more established big name signings (Lukaku/Dybala)....and no more punts on the Renato's and (to a lesser extent) Aouar's of this world.

Dybala has been excellent for us. We always knew we were getting a player who would miss a lot of games through injury. Perhaps we should be thankful we got as many games as we did from him and that he avoided any serious time out. But Roma need to take a different direction now and moving on from Dybala is probably part of that.

I understand some will say it's the Cristante's and Pellegrini's we need to be fukcing moving on from! I get it. It's just not likely to happen however. Maybe a healthy Saudi offer for Lorenzo, his willing to go and we can reinvest? How likely is that really though? That core will likely remain so I dont bother thinking about.

As per CDS, Mile Svilar, Gianluca Mancini, Evan Ndicka, Bryan Cristante, Leandro Paredes, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Stephan El Shaarawy and Tommaso Baldanzi are the only names safe this summer.

No Dybala for what it's worth...

I highly doubt Bove goes anywhere. There's a good player in there, with more game time and more confidence on the ball. I expect him to continue to improve as he matures. Exactly the kind of profile we should be working with.

I have a different opinion on Zalewski. Imo I dont see him improving a great deal. Too soft and consistently no end product. This is a kid who I dont think will ever be more than a half decent mid table Serie A player at best. Having said that, given that we're under less FFP pressure this time round, I'm not completely opposed to keeping him around for one more season/chance.

I hope they don’t try to do a large squad rebuild, rarely works outs well. Just go for a few solid signings and this is a 70 point team. And then focus on getting rid of some of the older players on big wages. Abraham, Smalling, Karsdorp, Belotti, Patricio. Spina as well unless he’s open to a cut.

It’s going to take a few summers until this is a team that is going to compete for more than 4th.

Lot of deadwood can be cut. Aouar, Sanches. God, what a disastrous signing. And everyone knew it.

Dybala went missing with injury the biggest matches of the year.

but hard to see replacing him for just €12 million

I don't get why we won't buy Llorente. He's cheap (option rumoured to be around 5m), solid and it will be hard to get a better back-up at CB for a reasonable price. I'd rather keep him and sell Smalling than the other way round.

The young Pole has only a year left on his contract so that changes things. Cash out time.

Aouar has not played in the final stretch but started in the last match and was man of the match while scoring. That was a sign to DDR. He is not checked out of Roma if he is given the chance. I wonder was DDR testing him with that call up. If he showed he had zero interest, he would be pushed out the door asap. It maybe enough for DDR to consider keeping him on unless an offer they cant turn down comes along. But anything around 8-10 million? I would reject. He will be that value in a years time but could be much more if he is allowed to play. He has a knack for finding the right spaces and is a baller. Dybala and him fit better than Pellegrini and Dybala. Its smarter to keep a very good midfielder for the squad but one who if given regular playing time can easily step up and lead. The team needs more cuteness. There is only Pellegrini in theis cm role, who we all know flatters to deceive the majority of a season. Remember they didnt renew Grenier, another mistake for only a few million. Aouar is similar.

These are the types of players that you can build a good squad depth with while having periods in the season when they become key players due to ability.

Depending on how much he’s asking and how little cash is available, I would may be take a shot at Martial. Contract expires in a month, and can fit in a couple different positions.
