Happy to see someone else bothered by this, other than me. :)

Wifi vs wired latency would not be significant.

Yeah, the antenna feed will always be the most ahead since the signal goes straight from the tower as opposed to wherever the hell it would come from via a subscription service.

I wonder if any of you have a suggestion/solution to this oh-so-convenient streaming issue. It's not specific to Peacock only (other streaming apps have the same problem with pausing)...

On my iPad (up to date iOS) I was watching the live stream of EFC-LFC which morphed into GoalZone highlights near the end. I had to pause it several times because of other life distractions. If the pause went so long that the iPad did it's normal screensaver thing, then when I re-entered the app I would be chucked out of the stream, back to having to pick EFC-LFC thumbnail again, where it would have no memory of where I was, so that I'd have to rewind to try to find that spot.

Q1: Is this just normal streamer behavior? (I don't think it's specific to iPad because my Roku seems to do similarly) Why can't the app remember and resume where I left off?? Don't Netflix, Hulu and others do that? Is it different because Peacock was showing me a live stream? I won't harp on it much here, but DVR's a supremely better at this than streamers.

Then by the time I finally was able to restart watching the highlights, the live stream had ended and there was only a replay, which I didn't bother with because it would force me to watch 3 lengthy ad break spots, just to get to the GoalZone portion, which may or may not have even been there, so I didn't waste the time with this, and gave up.

Q2: Is it that hard for them to program the app to be kind of sticky? So if I started watching a live stream, let me finish it, even if I pause it for 30-40 mins (this case) or even longer? And even after the live stream has officially ended? As I've said many times, it would be so great and user-friendly if they tried to emulate what was good about DVR's, and this is one of those things.

Just in time for the Olympics, here comes a price increase.

Still a heck of a deal for people that watch a lot of Premier League (even if they watch nothing else on Peacock, like myself). I spent almost $8 on a large mocha latte this morning after tip.

If I have a pet peeve its that games on USA should be available on Peacock after the game ends (instead of 24+ hours later).

I've heard a few other BigSoccer users/friends complaining that they can't watch any of the USA games live, only the ones on Peacock or NBC. Because they don't have Cable TV.

Which got me thinking that they should be able to stream USA somehow economically. I told one guy to look into Fubo TV or Hulu, and maybe just do a free trial to be able to watch the end of the Arsenal season. Looks like Hulu has a 30-day free trial.

Is there any other free/cheap way that any of you would recommend? Again, the primary goal is to stream USA only.

Probably the cheapest option is Sling Blue. It's usually an introductory $20 for the first month then $40/mo after that.

Thanks. Looks like Sling Blue is now $45/mo & $22.50 for first month. And apparently Hulu free-trial does not cover LiveTV. Anyone know of any other free trials that include USA Network channel??

So, the Man Utd x Arsenal match wasn't available on replay until 2.5 hours after the match ended! Not sure if normal or just a bad day. A bit ridiculous I must say.

Jon Champion will be broadcasting matches at the Olympics for NBC Sports.

He will not be a part of a Euros broadcast (for England or the USA) for the first time since 1996.

Use code "STREAMTHEDEAL" for a year of Peacock for $19.99.

If you want commercials removed from your archives, such can be added on to.

Does anybody actually pay the listed price for Peacock? Between all the promotions, discounts, and bundles I can't imagine they have many, other than the forgot to cancel after promo crowd.

Writing "Peacock subscription ends" in my phone's calendar AND immediately canceling upon renewal is a good way to not pay full price.

Apparently there's a lot of people out there who simply forget to cancel immediately upon signing up. It takes what? 30 seconds? You have all that time to give them your credit card info AND apparently the time to watch the show(s), but don't have time to click a cancel button? Odd.

I've heard/seen ads about software that examines your bank accounts and finds things you're subscribed to so you can cancel them. I can't fathom that being a necessity beyond maybe the first couple of years after college age where you're still trying to figure out how to be an adult.

I've heard every excuse in the book. "People have kids...they have jobs...they're just too busy to cancel."

I call bullshit on that. They're canceling their cable/satellite for Hulu/Fubo/YTTV, but they can't somehow cancel their Paramount+ or their Netflix?

It takes infinitely quicker to cancel Peacock or Max than it does to cancel Charter or Comcast once you get to speak to an agent.

They've already been on SportsEngine Play (SportsEngine is also what the USL uses for standings, stats, etc. on their websites), but this seems to make that more permanent.
