Hamburger SV of the 2. Bundesliga.

    They've finished 4th, 4th, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, and 4th the last 6 years, just missing promotion each time.

Ah yes. I always forget the story. Was the club named after the food or vice versa?

odd design for a soccer team- looks more like a rubix cube in a Math contest

The food came first, with early versions mentioned in the 1700s.

Soccer superstar Lionel Messi expected to miss MLS game in Vancouver, Whitecaps say

you pays your money, you take your chances - missing all 3 Miami stars is a bitter pill- but they have a mid-week game at home vs atlanta and the game is in Vancouver, CANADA - who cares except the Vancouver fans who doled out a lot of money

back in February, my son said Messi would come, and i said i dont think so- travel fatique, the turf, rest time for old bones (much like thierry henry did)

so we decided on monday to sell the 2 tickets from our season ticket package (had them since 2011), pocket the $1 000, go for an expensive diner and watch the game on the tube- sometimes you get things right (my friend paid $700 for 2 tickets on tuesday)

and its NOT the Whitecaps fault, although some fans will direct their anger at them

Yeah, it sucks for Vancouver fans. I remember when Beckham made his first visit to Foxboro with the Galaxy, and all the hype. I had season-tickets, but bought extra to this game for a co-worker who was originally from Leeds, England.

Beckham didn't play, but at least he made the trip and waved to the crowd from the sidelines.

Needless to say, my co-worker never went to another Revs game...

It's a nod to Hamburg being a naval port city. The crest is based on the Blue Peter flag which signals All Aboard.

So instead of hooking your friend up you took the money instead?
