Was a nice little cameo from him, he made a few important blocks in the ten minutes he were on. He's quite a big lad and physically he looks ready for mens football.

Looks like England U18 will finish their season with a couple of games at SGP against Northern Ireland & Morocco.

I've not seen much of him previously but this is really impressive. Don't know how good he is in the air but he looks extremely well rounded, reminds me a bit of Solanke.

    Bit of an experimental squad.

I assume Nyoni & Sidibe have eligibility issues, if not you'd expect them to be at the U17 tournament with their own year group.

Feels increasingly likely. Sidibe was born in France so would have fo go through the full Naturalisation process. Nyoni I am pretty sure was born in England (I can see someone with his name and middle name name born in Reading in 2007 on the GRO index) which means getting citizenship is easier as going by Zimbabwean reports he has never ceased living in England. Can’t imagine Liverpool would also have him living on Zimbabwean passport for any longer than necessary - it’s different with an EU passport like Sidibe has.

Leo Black has travelled with Spurs to Australia and will likely play some minutes in the post season friendly. No idea if he was going to be part of this squad, but did play and score in the last round of fixtures.

Wonder how many players were 'injured' for this particular meetup. Good to see Wheatley in the squad.

Stoke's Souleymane Sidibe, 17, could be on the move this summer with Brighton, Chelsea, Monaco and Juventus interested in the French midfielder. (Foot Mercato - in French)

Someone should tell them he played for England this week.

Interested to see what happens with Wheatley next season. Similar to Danns they should both get a chance to impress during club pre-season. A lot of uncertainty for them with new coaches likely taking over.

I don't think people realise quite how big Wheatley is. Might end up 6'6/6'7.

Featured in the programme, hopefully that's a sign he's highly regarded! Do any of the Manchester United fans on here know what their club thinks of his potential?

Wheatley got a solitary debut cap for England U17 side (in a somewhat experimental selection which lost badly to Poland) a couple of years ago, then had to wait for the end of season fixtures against Northern Ireland & Morocco U18 last month for another chance. I assume from that International absence his development has accelerated recently. Seemed to lack that kind of profile at the youth World Cup last year held by Indonesia.

I expect next season he'll be competing with Jayden Danns and perhaps Chiwome for Striker in the U19 squad.
