    Yep
There is nothing wrong with Beavers getting something like 7 or 8 starts too

RSL has the third lowest payroll in the league, they’re definitely getting good value although presumably the contracts have a lot of performance incentives that are likely to be met, so their actual payroll is probably higher.

Crooks is overpaid but almost everyone else looks like they’re either about right or an absolute bargain. In particular RSL is paying about 450k for defensive mids that are dominating most games. Eneli on a rookie contract is of course a steal but Ojeda’s performance relative to his salary is a huge steal.

Edit: I misread Ojedas salary which is actually 650k, still a great value imo

I had a bunch of thoughts, but lost the post, let's see if I remember:

Chicho is the 41st highest paid player in the league, get the man a raise!

Gomez probably deserves a bit of a raise.

Does anyone know if Ruiz and Rubin count towards the salary budget?

I think Lambert was a miss.

Glad is approaching non-TAMable DP, not sure how I feel about that.

Julio is overpaid and underperforms. Time for a new striker.

RSL has a little too much invested in LB this year, but Oviedo is expiring. I get it.

Brody went from underpaid to overpaid, but the rapidly improving league isn't doing him any favors.

Not too much to complain about. It'll be interesting to see how many of these non-senior roster HGs will be back next year.

Using the roster info that MLS posted a bit ago, RSL looks to be spending about $9.6m on senior roster players right now. I counted guys like Ruiz, Rubin and Lambert. That may not be the correct thing to do, but I'm being conservative.

RSL is using about $1.4m in GAM/TAM for high salary guys. They are probably using a bit more on HG subsidies.

My quick math says RSL is around $900k below the all-in budget of $10.455m.

I would think they would get some relief for Ruiz since he's out for the year. Having that $900k plus the $2m in GAM from the new roster rules means the club should be shopping in the summer!

Edit: Made a mistake with Crooks. He is listed as a DP, so the budget charge needs to go down by about $300k, GAM/TAM spend goes down by about $300k, too.
    Budget: ~$9.255m
Room: ~$1.2m (plus $2m in GAM to new rules?)

I have a feeling Crooks is going to work out. We’ll see. No way to tell yet.

That was last year and they had to do it just to try to catch up with average MLS teams. They'll need to keep buying (and hopefully selling some) to sustain this.

I hate Wallethub, but I only kinda hate this article
    https://wallethub.com/edu/best-worst-cities-for-soccer-fans/14207

Edit: on closer inspection, their methodology is pants. Salt Lake only scores so high because they consider population by city and not metro, so our stadium capacity-to-population ratio is artificially huge. I'm back to hating Wallethub the regular amount now.

In the last 4 games we gave up a goal at the death to LAG to give away a victory and we’ve scored at the death to earn a draw.

Well there is an RSL link on the final Olympic tune-up roster, but it isn't Diego Luna. Taylor Booth is in the squad though.

Maybe he's such a lock that they're taking some others to try and flesh out the final roster?
