I'm pleased that there are players at the Euros older than me. Suspect this will be last time, but thought that would be the case at World Cup also.
I had thought that they had a great chance to break their 1st round hoodoo, the way Clark had them going. Now they seem out of form and hard to see where the quality will come from. Will be reliant on goals from midfield again as difficult to see them coming from their strikers. Adams has had a decentish season, but hasn't done huge amounts for Scotland.
Norway should be really embarrassed that they didn't beat this side to 2nd. A decent midfield with two good left backs and that's it. No top level quality anywhere else on the pitch and not a single X factor profile in any position.
I find it quite mad that Che Adams (25 goals overall) is the sixth highest scoring Scottish CF in PL history (11th highest Scottish player overall). Doesn’t even feel like he’s played much in the PL.
Dykes and Forrest aren't great, don't really know much about Shankland and Doak is just a young lad. They'll need more from Adams for sure if they hope to get much out of this tournament. I don't think they will, but if they can recapture some of the spirit and momentum they had in 2022 and first half of 2023 then they might surprise Switzerland and Hungary.
Some of Norway’s defending was abysmal but I still cannot believe or understand why Spain played a second string away at Scotland. Was completely unfair on Norway on completely altered the momentum of the group.
I think the key player for them might be Angus Gunn. Seems much better than any other keeper they have and I’m not sure they qualify with another option starting. He did well in qualifying for them. He had a bit of a shocker in the play-off against Leeds though. Going to be a massive step up for him in a finals.
Wow, I didn't even realise Spain did that. What a weird decision. Ultimately Norway didn't deserve to qualify and Scotland did but I still have no idea how they lost that game at home to the Scots. Just so schoolboy in such a crunch fixture.
I still don’t get it. Can’t remember a comparable scenario in an international qualifying game. Spain went and beat Norway at home and then a few days later made 8 changes for that Scotland game. Basically changed the whole back four and attacking line in arguably one of their toughest away games in the group. Norway only have themselves to blame in the end and Scotland deserved it by not losing to Norway in either game.

Thats a big loss if Maignan is ruled out for them. He's their 1st choice by a lot. Losing your main goalkeeper before a tournament can derail teams
