long answer: noooooooooo Does Jesse Marsch convince Luca Koleosho to commit to Canada? 🤔 #CMNT pic.twitter.com/rWD70MiOmc— Ryan Byrnes 🇺🇦 (@rwbyrnes49) May 14, 2024
Attn Jesse In my opinion this would be a great decision for Uzbekistan. Habibullah (‘03) has been one of if not the best player in MLS NP this season, so far collecting 7g/2a through 8 matches. We know he’s on Canada’s radar, but 🇺🇿 can offer him something that 🇨🇦 can’t with the Olympics. https://t.co/0jmQn0k2yG— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) May 14, 2024
uh oh Okoh 🇺🇲-born center back Bryan Okoh is on Switzerland's senior provisional roster for the EurosFar from a sure thing he will make the final squad but they clearly rate him highly for the long run https://t.co/p96V1ipB4r— ChuckMe92 Soccer (@ChuckMe92Soccer) May 17, 2024
this is how you do it NYRB academy ballers Paul Sokoloff, Adri Mehmeti, and Alexito Gomez holding up Manu Romero’s jersey after the USA U15s won the Vlatko Marković tournament. Manu was a key part of the team but went back to Real Madrid early, where he scored this weekend.📸 Manu Romero’s IG story. pic.twitter.com/bOeeqSrGuq— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) May 19, 2024 Two titles in two 🇺🇸U15 call-ups for Real Madrid's Manu Romero, facing top competitionThese results can be meaningful in the USSF's chances to recruit him. As the top non-striker goalscorer for his 🇪🇸 age group he's legitimately one of the top youth prospects in Spain right now https://t.co/AKBwtzMyCb— ChuckMe92 Soccer (@ChuckMe92Soccer) May 19, 2024
I'm all for dudes betting on themselves but it looks like Tomori is gonna miss out on another major tournament for England. He'd surely be one of the best CBs in CONCACAF, and getting ready for Copa America and his second World Cup, if he'd stuck with Canada. That's the way the ball bounces...
Werder Bremen U-19 standout forward Yuval Ranon is on the radar of the US youth national team. Ranon, 18, currently an Israel youth int'l, but eligible for US. He had 9g/5a in 1,385 mins this year in the U-19 Bundesliga after stellar season with U-17s, w/ 15g/3a in 17 games. I don't know why that tweet got deleted and replaced by a nearly identical tweet, hate when people do that... NYCFC homegrown left back Christian McFarlane goes 90 mins in England U17s 4-0 thrashing of France U17s in their first game of the U17 Euros.McFarlane, 17, expected to be key player for England at the U17 Euros. Great start. pic.twitter.com/8Uk4btJCgf— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) May 21, 2024
Because the player was referred to as Christine McFarlane in the first tweet. Maybe it was autocorrect or something.
This is good news for 🇺🇸 fans. Doesn't really change the trajectory long-term for senior level. Like with Musah and Balogun, it's essentially development for the USSF on someone else's dime https://t.co/3kdqPEBE9p— ChuckMe92 Soccer (@ChuckMe92Soccer) May 21, 2024
Hope for their sake it's Tomori... hope for us it's not Koleosho (doubtful, why there would be a hold up with him) I’m hearing some whispers about the #CanMNT roster hold up. According to a source “they are waiting for a fifa ruling on a dual nat” 👀 sounds high profile Who could it be?— 🇨🇦 = copa america 2024 champs (@torontomaplefc2) May 21, 2024
Well they don’t need a FIFA ruling on Koleosho, he just needs to file a switch. He’s absolutely eligible for Canada. Of course he’s also still injured I think. Tomori is definitely not eligible and it’s too bad for them as they could really use him and England doesn’t have a ton of interest.
I have no insight into the Canada thing, but if it's really a thing, will just throw out another name for fun: Daniel Jebbison. They've been putting him on provisional MNT rosters for some time, but he's been content to stick with England YNTs and I'm pretty sure he'd need to file a switch.
Sure but they can name him to the camp roster even if the switch hasn’t been approved. The final roster itself is not until June 12 and you’d need approval from FIFA to name him then but you wouldn’t need to hold up naming him to camp first.
Yuval Ranon 🇺🇸🇮🇱 ASSIST for Werder Bremen in an end of season friendly! I believe this is the first time he’s been with the first team, well deserved after a good season at the U19 level. https://t.co/LFSOxiGTg3— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) May 22, 2024 American eligible right back Devan Tanton🇨🇴🇺🇸 & USYNT keeper Alex Borto🇺🇸🇵🇱 were crowned U-21 Premier League Cup Champions with Fulham.Tanton had a stellar performance & notched an assist🅰️, still not cap-tied, he was pictured carrying a Colombian🇨🇴 team scarf in celebrations. pic.twitter.com/womOQ4Uiu8— Joshua 🇺🇸🇳🇬 (@joshua_reports) May 22, 2024
Carrizo going to Argentina to play Argentina! Drama! The #U16MYNT is off to Buenos Aires for matches against Uruguay 🇺🇾 on May 27 and Argentina 🇦🇷 on May 30.It's a crucial step for the 2008 age group as they work towards the 2025 U-17 @Concacaf Championship and the U-17 @FIFAWorldCup in Qatar!— U.S. Soccer YNT (@USYNT) May 22, 2024
No Koleosho So all the squawking about Luca Koleosho proved inaccurate… https://t.co/KpetGEMATD— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) May 23, 2024
He did not return before the end of the year but was close. I imagine there’s a possibility he could be with the Italian youth teams.
Okoh Article about how highly the Swiss NT coach rates dual Bryan Okoh.“Murat Yakin, firmly convinced of his potential, has always kept in touch during his injuries.”Yakin: “I'm a fan…He has immense potential..I hope for wonderful things from him and I believe in him.” https://t.co/cBfaLzVen8— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) May 25, 2024
Canada's roster is out. I confess I'm not an expert on their pool but is there ... any recruiting news here? (I don't see any big names.) https://canadasoccer.com/news/canmnt-roster-unveiled-ahead-of-key-european-friendlies/
