I'm all for dudes betting on themselves but it looks like Tomori is gonna miss out on another major tournament for England. He'd surely be one of the best CBs in CONCACAF, and getting ready for Copa America and his second World Cup, if he'd stuck with Canada. That's the way the ball bounces...

Werder Bremen U-19 standout forward Yuval Ranon is on the radar of the US youth national team.
Ranon, 18, currently an Israel youth int'l, but eligible for US.
He had 9g/5a in 1,385 mins this year in the U-19 Bundesliga after stellar season with U-17s, w/ 15g/3a in 17 games.

I don't know why that tweet got deleted and replaced by a nearly identical tweet, hate when people do that...

Because the player was referred to as Christine McFarlane in the first tweet. :)
Maybe it was autocorrect or something.

Vast majority of development happens at club football, this logic makes no sense.

Hope for their sake it's Tomori... hope for us it's not Koleosho (doubtful, why there would be a hold up with him)

Well they don’t need a FIFA ruling on Koleosho, he just needs to file a switch. He’s absolutely eligible for Canada. Of course he’s also still injured I think.

Tomori is definitely not eligible and it’s too bad for them as they could really use him and England doesn’t have a ton of interest.

I have no insight into the Canada thing, but if it's really a thing, will just throw out another name for fun: Daniel Jebbison. They've been putting him on provisional MNT rosters for some time, but he's been content to stick with England YNTs and I'm pretty sure he'd need to file a switch.

Even a switch is a "decision from FIFA."

Sure but they can name him to the camp roster even if the switch hasn’t been approved. The final roster itself is not until June 12 and you’d need approval from FIFA to name him then but you wouldn’t need to hold up naming him to camp first.

He did not return before the end of the year but was close. I imagine there’s a possibility he could be with the Italian youth teams.
