4th place not over yet.... Villa 67 pts +20gd Spurs 63 pts +12gd Villa losing today could give Spurs extra incentive against Man City tomorrow as winning could leave them just a point behind Villa going into Sunday. Even a draw against City would still leave them with a chance because Villa are away to Palace on Sunday who have been in good form recently while Spurs play Sheffield United. As for Europa and Europa Conference next year: If we win the FA Cup we get Europa. If we lose, that spot goes to 6th place. Then: 5th+6th gets Europa 7th get Conference At the moment: 6th Newcastle 57 pts +22gd ManUtd(A) Brentford(A) 7th Chelsea 57 pts +12gd Brighton(A) Bournemouth(H) 8th Man Utd 54 pth -4gd Newcastle(H) Brighton(A)
Even with Villa coming back today, Spurs still have something to fight for tomorrow: Villa 68 pts +20gd Spurs 63 pts +12gd Villa drawing today gives Spurs extra incentive against Man City tomorrow as winning could leave them just 2 points behind Villa going into Sunday, Villa are away to Palace on Sunday who have been in good form recently while Spurs play Sheffield United.
Newcastle win too - so no Europe unless we beat City in the FA Cup Final, if we do that we also deprive Chelsea of Europa League and bump them into the Europa Conference I believe. We finish with -1 GD One surprising thing is that despite how bad this season has been we actually finish with more points than in the Ole / Rangnick disaster year pre EtH. Season had a very similar vibe to that one, especially near the end. 2023/2024 P38 W18 D06 L14 PTS60 2021/2022 P38 W16 D10 L12 PTS58 Just the cup final to go and we can close the book on this season and pretend it never happened (unless our owners fail to change out a lot of these players - in which case we may yet get to live it again) ...
Hard to argue with either of these, particularly as they are voted by the supporters (Bruno) and players (Diogo) themselves. Only Ronaldo and De Gea have won the Sir Matt award more than Bruno. 🥁 Our 2023/24 Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year is...🌟 @B_Fernandes8 🌟#MUFC || @adidasFootball pic.twitter.com/QhnMOANM4a— Manchester United (@ManUtd) May 23, 2024 Richly deserved, @DalotDiogo 👏Our squad have voted Diogo for the Players' Player of the Year award 🥇#MUFC || @adidasFootball pic.twitter.com/sO2vIxAi46— Manchester United (@ManUtd) May 23, 2024
Good for Dalot. He's quietly had a very good year and shown a new maturity this campaign. He's obviously working hard outside the games. A few hiccups still on concentration and defensive positions, but he's improving.
it's been a poor season but i will try to sum up the good moments in pictures. well, and one video for obvious reasons

A message from the #FACup winners 📩❤️#MUFC— Manchester United (@ManUtd) May 26, 2024 To every Manchester United fan, We all know that this club is special. Yesterday’s game was yet another reminder of that. As we fought to win the FA Cup, the incredible atmosphere you generated inside Wembley helped push us over the line. Celebrating all together was beautiful. Fans, staff, players — all united as one. Those memories will live with us forever. It was a further reminder that with your support behind us, and the United badge on our chests, we can achieve great things. You can be sure that we feel immense pride in representing our football club. This shared passion will drive us forward together, back to where this club belongs. We know how much this club means to so many people — in Manchester and around the world. The backing you have given to us, even during times when we fell short of the standards that we set for ourselves, has been unbelievable. We understand the sacrifices that you have to make to show this level of support. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. We know this season overall has not been good enough and we make no excuses. But we ended it in the best way possible, celebrating a trophy all together. We want more days like yesterday. We are excited for the future here. There is so much that we have to achieve together. We will fight to bring Manchester United the success that this special club deserves. Thank you for your unrivalled support. The 2023/24 Manchester United squad.
Imagine if we get a winger and 8 to rotate properly with these kids so they get proper rest and development. I mean 38 games is a lot for 18-19 year olds.
