Once again, the "are we better or worse with Carrascal" debate is for another thread and with the way things are trending you could be correct.
That said, Lorenzo loves him and just like with Santos Borre it does not seem to matter much what we think about if we are better or worse. It is just plain reality that Carrascal has a certain role and if James is not a part of the team Yaser would probably get more minutes.
That is unless JuanFer gets his act together and is healthy. We have not seen how the team can flow through him that much. And before James played excellently for us in qualifying Lorenzo seemed to like what Cuadrado was doing in the lineup.
These last two matches before the Copa will be critical and may indicate what we will do and how we will approach the midfield/attack.
Just sucks that James' situation is so uncertain and volatile.

I would give limited minutes to James for the friendlies so as to make sure he gets back to form and doesnt pick up injuries prior to when the games count. I would think Lorenzo will only use James when it matters, for games 1 and 2 and then game 3 only if it matters for the next round. He needs him at least for 6 games at his best but that's a lot of soccer for James in a short amount of time.

I would hope that would be the case if he is going to be the main guy for us.
But Lorenzo has done weird things before.

According to a media report in Brasil, Sao Paulo is considering releasing James after the Copa America. The most likely target to pick him up would be a team from MLS willing to put up money and deal with his shenanigans.

He is, when healthy and in his right head.

    So that’s the problem.

Kross and James are totally different players. Thats not exactly fair.

James also had Bale and Ronaldo in a more natural position for him. So kind of played out of position.

Wish he had gone to Barca and Neymar to Real. Think that would have made more sense for both of them. Hanging out with Ronaldo really fkd James head up

James is a different player from all 3, Isco is the closest comparison but even then he's more of a ball retention guy and dribbling guy. James has always had way more of an end product than all 3 , and they all offer different things. James has evolved as he's gotten older more similar to the other 3, but still none of them can hold a candle to James in Goals throughout their career.

haha yea... tho when I was in Guape in Medellin the tour said he lived there and it looked way nicer from the outside. I googled what he wants it's like 2.3m. it's 11 million thousand which just sounds so weird.

Any way hope dude is in the right head space and gets us a title. I know some of you dont see him as the chosen one like I do but he wants to fking win and win with us. I thought it was funny when he was pissed last Copa America we finished 3rd. he wanted 1st. Wish more of our guys were that hungry for glory

also pumped the friendly I am going to is his 100th game with us

He's trying to be as mentally prepared. Imagine if we see the James of the 2014 world cup having such direct impacts in each match.

But I hope that it helps the team overall.

He needs Falcao and Borja to talk to him about Jesus. That is what he needs. A come to Jesus moment.
