Allegri ripping his suit off and flipping out on the 4th official... rightfully red carded.... this type of behavior has no place in football and does the game writ large a huge disservice.
I agree with Chris W's commentary there: some of Allegri's behavior is attributable to the refs not having control of the match. Maximo took it way too far and deserves to get sent off, but I don't think he starts his strip tease if the ref wasn't so inconsistent throughout the match. Also still agreeing with Kruck: the ref has tried to make himself a central character in this cup final. I'd argue he's succeeded.
No matter how poor the referee is Allegri's conduct is inexcusable and this type of conduct seriously damages the game at all levels.
Congrats to Juventus. Not for the trophy....but for playing their first entertaining match of the season. That game was actually watchable, compared to the other dross they have put on this year. If Wes and/or Weah leave, at least they can say they brought a trophy (Wes has actually brought 2).
More dumb awards like this one: No clue what it's for (golden boot maybe? He already got an MVP award), but I love that's it's an oversized credit card. So dumb.
Yeah, that was bonkers - and he looks really silly too, since he's got the physique of Q-tip, but less fuzz on top.
