I would 100% sign him. This guy is a future menace.

All the stuff we talk about with not beating guys 1v1, and not being direct, this kid is it.

To add a bit more to some of the summer discussions..... Based on the last several months of rumors and a little general common sense, I've got a few bold (and not so bold) predictions for our summer window.....

    GK
    - Rams sold
    - Hein loaned
    - sign a a vet FA (or cheap 30+) along with a young HG or u21 (Patterson, Beaudry)

    DF
    - OZ is sold
    - Kiwior stays but if we can keep Timber & Tomi healthy they eat up his minutes and he pushes for an exist in Jan and is replaced with a u21 CB.
    - sign a u22 CB/FB (Hato) and ease him into the rotation. he plays FA Cup and some garbage min in EPL and/or CL group stage

    MF
    - ESR sold
    - Vieira loaned
    - Partey stays because we can't find a deal that works for all parties. he is then sold in Jan after frustrations over low minutes.
    - new starting quality MF (#6 or 8) signed
    - promote Nwaneri and sign a new u22 CM/AM (Doue) to split ESR & Vieira's minutes until Jan and then one is loaned

    FW
    - Jesus stays
    - Eddie & Nelson sold
    - we sign a #2 ST (Sesko, Zirkzee, Brobbey). Havertz remains starter. new ST is good enough to keep Trossard/Jesus on the W and allow Havertz to play in MF occasionally for tactical reasons
    - Primary W rotation is Saka, Marti, Trossard & Jesus.
    - Jesus takes Nelson's minutes and steals a few from the others. he leaves next summer chasing starter minutes and a WC 26 roster spot.
    - Marti has a bounce back year
    - we sign a young HG or u21 W or promote Amario Cozier-Duberry. They play primarily in FA Cup and garbage minutes.

    Summary
    - lots of depth dropped (7 current 1st team sold or loaned)
    - new young players brought in to raise quality floor
    - only 1 immediate starter (DM/CM) and 6 backups (2x GK, CB/FB, CM/AM, ST, W)

    Next season's depth.....

GK - Raya, new vet, new youth
DF - Saliba, Gabi, White, Timber, Tomi, Kiwior, new CB/FB
MF - Rice, MO, new DM/CM, Jorge, Partey, Nwaneri, new CM/AM
FW - Havertz, Saka, Marti, Jesus, Trossard, new ST, new W

Unless Arsenal have an option to extend his contract or are negotiating a new contract with him, per TransferMarkt, Hein becomes a free agent on June 30th. He will leave, but not on loan.

swear I saw something somewhere that showed him having a contract through 2026. If TM is correct, then I assume he walks.

  6. If interested what van Basten thinks about Brobbey, use google translate:

Seeing claims from Spanish media that Arsenal linked 21yo Valencia MF Javi Guerra could possibly be available for under €30m. If true, he could be a really nice option as a rotational player.

Going after a 26yo seems odd to me unless they are considering snagging him instead of picking up the Raya option. Have a hard time seeing a 26yo starting GK wanting to join when we already have a 28yo GK coming off a Golden Glove.

Nigerian media are claiming that we are "still" in pursuit of Osimhen but are unwilling to pay Napoli's current price. They claim that we plan to offer Jesus + cash to get the deal done.

If he's really only £10m, he could be looking to play in some cups, raise his profile, and get a move to another PL club in a year or 2 where he can start. Similar to Turner. I'd prefer a HG option or someone young enough with the potential to be as good or better than Raya.

I've not seen the 10m number. If that is legit and he is willing to come, I welcome the competition for Raya. We could still go after a young HG or u21 to be the #3 and potential GK of the future.

Seeing some claims online that he is injury prone. FBref numbers seem to confirm. Passing precents are on par with Raya but his attempts are a good bit lower. Most of his other stats seem about on par but he is a bit lower on actions outside the box.

I've seen links to this guy since atleast Jan. Strikes me a faster OZ so I'm not sure I believe the links. Posting because the smoke keeps getting thicker.....

The one thing that makes me feel it could be legit..... he is EXTREMELY versatile.

This logic doesn't make sense. 6'5" guy on the wing when you have 4 guys on the roster that are more experienced?

Or as a #2 to replace Rambo? (assuming he's too good to be our #3?)

With all the cups and the fact that Kai can, in a pinch, play left 8 [not that we want him there] theres no reason why he can't get a lot of game time.

That said, Kai is quick enough and good enough with his runs that if we start Martinelli at LW and he struggles, you could push Kai out to LW and have him play skinny and have Sesko through the middle.

Theres lots of ways to make it work especially since Kai is very mobile and I keep seeing that Sesko is too.

I don’t like Kai anywhere but old school 10 or up top

I would not be spending money on a striker like that, a young player would be a better option who has good potential and a skill set similar to what we need

the main money for me would be a cm and an attacking wide player. I think timber can be a great lb for us in the role

gonna be a very interesting window, I can see us doing business quite early

you can also shift into a 2 ST (4-1-3-2, 4-2-2-2, 3-2-3-2, etc....) setup and let Kai drop a bit deeper

Not happy with ESR leaving I still think he has value for our club and system, but everyone else leaving makes sense.

Can't argue with that but saw yesterday that he was available for 42 matches in all comps this season and still managed under 500 min. Not sure what the issue is but I think it is in ESR's best interest to move on.

not my pic but I am pretty sure after the flags is available, app, goals, min
