The EL or was what formerly the UEFA Cup is much better than winning the Conference but neither is like this.
I'm actually surprised that the Conference League Final is coming after the EL as I didn't think it was as important.... Forza Viola!
Every year? You make it sound like its indoctrinated in history but this is only the 3rd year of the Conference League and there have only been 2 winners. Most people don't even care or know for that matter, that the tournament even exists. On the other hand, starting in 1977 when Juventus beat Athletic Bilbao 1-0 and ending 1999 when Parma beat Marseille 3-0, the old UEFA Cup was very prestigious and considered more difficult to play in and win than the old European Cup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UEFA_Cup_and_Europa_League_finals As a matter of fact, Italian clubs won 9 of those competitions in 22 years or one trophy every 2.4 years. Italy also had 6 teams that were runners-up in that tournament during that time span. That is quite a record, and everyone pointed to Italy’s Serie A as the go to league. No one cared about the Cup Winners Cup which is why it was eliminated whereas, if I recall correctly, Lazio won the last trophy but the UEFA Cup was very honorable to win.
Its been like that since inception. Better you gimp? I'm not reading all that. You know about the competition so stop acting like an idiot. These are your words.
Yeah, so what. The inception was a whopping two years ago so big deal. With everything I’ve been through in the last two -three years, I don’t’ recall what happened two years ago or on what day a Conference League final was or wasn’t supposed to be played. Also, because I have more important things to think and worry about. This is besides the fact though and never my point. The Europa League in my opinion is a much more important competition and should be played in succession by order of importance of the tournaments. The Conference League The Europa League The Champions League As I posted earlier or in another thread , I am betting all finals should or will be played on a Saturday in the month of May.
Motta officially out at Bologna. Too bad. Probably looking at nearly a full rebuild this summer. May be able to tempt Pioli or Sarri, although I’d go for Juric or Palladino and focus on a long term plan.
Pioli is also out at Milan. Milan and Pioli reach contract termination agreement RANIERI CONFERMA: CAGLIARI MIO ULTIMO CLUB - Quattro Mori News
One thing we've learned this season is the superiority of Italian coaches and how they consistently prove to be the best in the world. I'm so glad we have names like Motta, Italiano, Gasperini, and De Rossi to carry on the legacy of legends like Ranieri, Ancelotti, Lippi, and Capello.
What a heartbreak for Claudio Ranieri's last game coaching! It's nice to see Cagliari's fans still celebrating though even in defeat!
I just can't see Atalanta not winning with their game in hand, and Juve winning their last match. Too many stars need to align for Roma to get back into the CL. This Atalanta is different, just because htey are celebrating doesnt mean they wont go out and kick ass these last two matches
Bologna doing us dirty. Difference is, we'd still be richer than them next year, so this will be their only season out of the gutter and then back to low-end table obscurity.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Juventus lose to Monza tomorrow, and Atalanta win all their remaining games. I’m sick and tired of relying on other teams to do us a favor.
Bologna took out starting GK Federico Ravaglia for 20 year old Nicola Bagnolini. I think the subbbing out a GK in the second half of last game of the season is becoming a thing for many clubs.
