I'd like to make sure that Camacho gets a break or two as well. Nancy has some pretty decent parts to move around back there, but Rudy is irreplaceable.
Nancy says Cucho will NOT play Saturday vs Orlando City #Crew96 We are in danger of no Cucho for CCC arent we?
Maybe. I think it is more precautionary, but back injuries are tricky. FWIW, Cucho has started in 4 of our 6 CCC matches so far. But how dumb would it be to start him vs Orlando & have him tweak it and miss Pachuca? Rossi, JRR, Ramirez, and Matan are all available & looking pretty good. Heck, Nancy has even played Zawadzki & Yeboah as WF's this year. If one REALLY wants to get conservative we could go that route. We are not gonna forfeit. Someone will be out there. Ramirez, JRR, and Hinestroza would not shock me, however.
I can't imagine he won't play, but not ideal to have your best player trying to shake off the rust of not playing for three weeks.
I think its also a situation where a player nursing some sort of injury will suit up and play in a championship match but would sit out a regular season match. We'll all seen that type of scenario. All we've hear about Cucho is that he's had some back tightness. It makes it sound as though he could play, but they want to give him time to heal. Well, the time to heal kind of runs out June 1. I assume he'll play, even if not at 100%. That is unless his back tightness is something more than that.
I asked if Cucho's status was a precaution for Champions Cup, Wilfried Nancy this is "week-to-week" situation and his status is determined by "what is best for him and the team"#Crew96 https://t.co/v10QdpKuqi— Brianna Mac Kay (@brimackay15) May 22, 2024
That is saying virtually nothing. What is best for the team is to make sure he is healthy as can be for the Final, and it does not hurt to keep the other team guessing.
So they are doing a 3rd bus but the site isn’t working because they have to update for a different hotel. If you get bus only is should be working.
Is this starting to feel like that phantom Room "injury" after he got benched for Schulte? Cucho's absences without explanation (and very vague rumblings) are piling up.
Just play and win the final and Idc if we sell him and get a different DP. However I would prefer to keep Cucho.
Crew subreddit thread about the Crew doing specific altitude training for the Pachuca match. Also mentioned that all players have sleeping tents at their houses: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheMassive/s/WqnGlpXQsx
I dont have my tinfoil hat on. But Ive got my eye on it. There is precedent here, with this coach and this player and other players as well.
The injury virtually rules him out of Copa, or at least dents his hopes of making their 26. You know he wants to go. If we were fabricating an injury to facilitate a transfer, he'd rightly be furious. Plus, the window opens in 3 weeks. After the Final. It extends well past Copa. If a transfer was in the works, it would behoove both parties for Cucho to play in, and play well in the CCC final and Copa. Like most conspiracy theories, it does not make much sense. FWIW, who is Schulte in this scenario? Russell-Rowe? Cucho is miles better than Room. I am firmly in camp nonsense on this one.
Anyone been to an Applebee's lately? I've been spending my time at Red Lobster but their waitstaff is so busy with shrimp and scallops that there's no time for gossip.
As of now the weather in Mexico is going to be nice for the final around 81degrees. This week it’s currently scorching hot
