With neither Lerch or Stroot doing anything to improve/evolve the underwhelming tactical elements of Wolfsburg, you have to think what Kellermann does this summer likely to define what this club will accomplish over the next 3 years... And looking at the clear decline in performance between 2022/23 and 2023/24, I think it clear more names should be leaving Wolfsburg this summer...

Ironically enough, Potsdam can still mathematically finish third and avoid promotion. It will go down to the last matchday.
Ingolstadt only has 1 win and 2 draws in their 12 matches this year. It should be doable for Potsdam to win in Ingolstadt.
For the first time since 2006/2007 (when we had teams like Bad Neuenahr, Crailsheim and Rheine in the Bundesliga) Championship, Champions League qualification and relegation is decided before the last matchday. So I guess live updates are not necessary. 🥹💚 #VfLWolfsburg #VfLWolfsburgFrauen #Wölfinnen #WOBSGS pic.twitter.com/j1eTIYuO4a— VfL Wolfsburg Frauen (@VfL_Frauen) May 20, 2024 So starten wir in unser letztes Spiel der Saison 2023/24 🦅✌️#SGE #EintrachtFrauen #DieLiga #KOESGE pic.twitter.com/C7GRnuT3Xk— Eintracht Frankfurt Frauen (@EintrachtFrauen) May 20, 2024

LOL... wow, Bayern are really placing stars on their jersey for league titles.., handing out a contract extension to Straus, on the back of him accomplishing the same results as prior coaches, but now within a domestic league competition uniquely weaker than we've seen for many years... Oh.. and this with a Bayern side also showing ZERO improvement within European competition over the past two years of Straus-ball too; for me highlighting how much this league is in desperate need of 3rd and 4th place clubs to improve the standard of competition right now. Nobody caring about club competition in Spain, all because their league consistently represented by a highly respected and popular Barcelona. Nobody questioning the league competition of France, as their represented by Lyon while a few clubs able to produce strong performances each season. It has me wonder why is nobody asking questions towards the underwhelming nature of Straus-ball Bayern in Europe, after they'd win domestic competitions during a uniquely bad time for Bundesliga reps within Europe...? We've already seen back to back titles with a young Miedema era Bayern. Then seen back to back titles during a consecutive UWCL semi finalist era Bayern too. So what's Straus done to deserve all this praise...? Going unbeaten all season... is that it..? Because again, past Bayern teams have won the title with more points, while producing far more goals with better footballing teams too...
Hmmmm, again I'm not sure if this a smart move from Frankfurt, but with Paulina Platner moving to Essen, they've allowed another strong junior wnt talent to leave their club without the use of an initial loan deal... Anybody paying attention to Bender's time with Leverkusen, can see Bender showcasing all the early signs of an almost 100% future wnt player. So I don't understand why Frankfurt aren't using the leagues loan system better, as their a club who doesn't want to spend a lot of money, but hold a lot of impressive junior talent now who will all be seeking first team football very soon. Meaning without them all being able to accomplish this within Frankfurt's first team, are they just going to let these talents leave for new clubs, to see them eventually develop into senior international talents who'll play for their direct rivals lol.
Oh.. and in a final matchday nobody had anything to play for, someone needs to explain why Leverkusen Vs Bremen would end up being so aggressively contested lol. Multiple PK's, lots of hard tackles, seeing the Leverkusen coach sent off with a red card, while multiple people on the bench would also end up being booked, as players on both teams showcase huge amounts of petulance with every decision too.... All this for both teams to finish in 6th and 7th place lol.
There was a vote on potential league expansion for the season starting 2025/26... The Frauen Bundesliga is set to expand, with a clear majority voting for an early expansion for the 25/26 season in a recent meeting in Köln. The topic was discussed frequently as part of the growth and professionalisation plan by the DFB. https://t.co/BaMWdUJSYg— Bayern Frauen (@miasanfrauen) May 20, 2024
Here's some highlights.... It is now in the DFB's hands to make a decision. DFB Managing Director Holger Blask recently spoke of a "medium term increase" but changed his stance, and that it would not be implemented until the 27/28 season. Blask had expressed concerns "that there are not four clubs that have the appropriate structures and sporting quality." Along with VfL Wolfsburg, Bayern and RB Leipzig are also against the expansion plans. The scheduling problems for international players would be exacerbated by the general conditions. Wolfsburg's Director of Women's Football Ralf Kellermann complains that there is no pitch heating in many places and that games in December/January are cancelled. Kellermann: "From the perspective of the clubs that play internationally, someone should show me in the current calendar where they should add 4 more match days."
All this nonsense, when the simple/best answer here for the clubs, is to go back and try to force through their own planed break away league... It should be clear by now, the reason we haven't seen a major investment from more clubs, is that the nations best clubs aren't interested in being part of the current infrastructures put in place by the DBF. If the DFB didn't forcibly veto the proposed break away league a few years ago, I'd be willing to bet we would have seen Bayern, Wolfsburg, and RB Leipzig, all perfectly fine having extra league games where they face the likes of BVB, Stuttgart, Borussia Mönchengladbach next season...

VfL Wolfsburg has announced that head coach Tommy Stroot will leave the club after the upcoming season. ❌#tommystroot #vflwolfsburg #dieliga pic.twitter.com/u051EltbzI— Soccerdonna (@soccerdonna) May 23, 2024
Tommy Stroot is leaving the club after the end of the 2024/25 season...., which in my mind means Wolfsburg have already finally identified someone they want to replace Stroot, but are OK waiting for this coaches contract to end at this other club, instead of paying the compensation fee to get them early. Sooo... while it appears online opinion completely unaware of Wolfsburg's clear need to rebuild/rejuvenate it's current team, whoever this new coach is, I'm sure pretty soon we'll start to hear rumours about who Wolfsburg have made verbal agreements with to join them.. And honestly, even though Kellermann is to blame for a lot of Wolfsburg's poor squad balance over recent years, I actually believe Stroot has struggled with various tactical elements, that correctly haven't been obscured by his league, cup, and UWCL success.
I said evidence of Wolfsburg's form over the past two seasons, suggests more players/people should be leaving their club this summer...; and at least with this news, win or lose, there's absolutely no uncertainty over Stroot's position season.
Why do Grawe & Piljic make both squads? I’ll skip the Verukt Auslanders & stick with an domestic squad(this includes born in Germany & anybody that didn’t make the current NT call up Elmazi…….Fudelia…….Krumbiegel …………….Dallmann …….Beck………….Hipp(DM) Lurhssen…Landesberger…Kleineheme..Hahn Malmutovic honorable mention; Memeti & Kogel
