  1. Uhm, if the sperm count is down per ejaculation, the obvious solution is to have more of those ejaculations each day/night/whenever you have sex.
So basically more sex each 24/7.

Ooh. That make it a bad time for me to move to the UK. Lots of extreme weather the country's infrastructure isn't built for.

Get a water to air heat pump for the AC and you'll be fine.

AC doesn't exist in the UK.

And if you had it you couldn't afford to run it.

You know that a KW of electricity in the UK costs 2.5 times what it costs in the US, right?

People have a real time electric and gas meters in their homes for a reason.

He means pre pay/instant pay meter systems.

As opposed to post use payment/billing systems which are the norm in North America.

Given that I live in the UK, yes, I am aware

  11. Ah, I thought he ment you could see on you meter immediately what your consumption was, not that you have some slot machine you have to feed first.

"Nothing to see here", said mainstream news networks.

Ironically, networks often lead off many of their national evening news and morning show programs with weather events occurring in specific parts of the country (i.e. local news), but rarely talk about the bigger picture and indicators of climate change (i.e. news that's national).

  16. Why do people in California plug AC's in the powerlines of companies if you got that many hours of sunshine to harvest electricity and have your solar panels for free after about 4 years?
I mean the moments you need your AC the hardest is also the time the sun burns the brightest.

Because most homes were built when solar was prohibitively more expensive than electricity.

  18. Yeah, but so are our houses and we plant panels on our roofs now, as these panels get cheaper and cheaper.
Seems to me a winner doing it now.

When I put solar on my roof almost two years ago, the CA Public Utilities Commission restricted my capacity to ~80% of what my estimated consumption would be. This is to mitigate the fact that if I was completely covering my consumption, those who consume the standard mix available would pay more per kilowatt hour to keep the rate base generators running then they otherwise would have. And that burden obviously impacts the less-advantaged more. And even still - shortly after I had mine installed and as solar boomed more in such a sunny state, the PUC introduced new rates that allow the utilities to charge new behind the meter PV basically double the old rate for the additional electricity they would need to consume during peak hours to help make up the economic difference subjected on the rate base.

It's more of a question of equity at this point. And there are disadvantaged community programs that the state and the utilities offer to help install PV in poorer areas, but those are relatively nascent.

I guess another caveat to what I said above is that housing prices in CA are absurd. Many people live in rentals where they have no say as to what gets put on their roof or not. And every rooftop PV that gets installed increases their bill a little bit more.

Poisoned ecosystems and micro plastics in our bodies are just the fair price of god-blessed creative capitalist destruction!

I have seen stories from weather people in red states who link a current very bad weather event to global warming, and either told to never do that again, or get fired.

    Or this:

  24. These evangelicals are aiming for the end of times from their perception of the world through their religious stained glasses:
    Eschatology
Theological view of end of world
Eschatology concerns expectations of the end of the present age, human history, or the world itself. The end of the world or end times is predicted by several world religions, which teach that negative world events will reach a climax.

That's religion for you: a fire hose of narcissism sold under the disguise of humility.
