Amorim, Klopp & Alonso have all been tactically outclassed with an aggressive man to man high press and quick fluent passing moves after they regain the ball. Don Gasperini. This is pure coaching. pic.twitter.com/586XS9xo40— Premier League Panel (@PremLeaguePanel) May 22, 2024

Gasparini has had Atalanta punching above their level and playing nice football for quite a while now. I would have liked Leverkusen to win due to Xabi, but I also can’t help feel pleased for Gasparini and Atalanta.
The perfect photograph. Gasparini in perfect focus, Xabi out of focus. In another life, I would be a sports photographer.
Xabi winning it would have been cool, but it's also nice that another small team wins something this season. I enjoy watching those teams not used to winning trophies actually winning something.
(🌕) Hansi Flick is *pushing* for a Barcelona move. @FabrizioRomano #FCB 👤🚨 pic.twitter.com/ER4yn6wGch— Reshad Rahman (@ReshadFCB) May 22, 2024 (🌕) BREAKING: Confirmation that a meeting did in fact take place between Hansi Flick and the Barcelona delegation. There was ‘very good’ harmony among all parties involved and Flick is the #1 candidate to replace Xavi right now if an exit happens. @rac1 #FCB ☎️🔥 pic.twitter.com/mcnLc2LBP7— Reshad Rahman (@ReshadFCB) May 22, 2024 (🌕) JUST IN: Hansi Flick is the favorite to replace Xavi. He has spoken with Deco, who has now validated this option. There was good harmony between the parties. President Laporta prefers a German coach as well. @ffpolo #FCB 👤🚨🚨 pic.twitter.com/1t89ysR3nM— Reshad Rahman (@ReshadFCB) May 23, 2024
Leave it to a spanish coach to completely overthink it and change his approach for the final instead of simply doing what has worked for the entire year. Xabi learning valuable leasons.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everyone counted Atalanta for dead prior to this game just as they’re doing to Dortmund now. We cannot overlook them whatsoever. We must approach them with humility and grit as we have the rest of opponents we have faced this CL campaign.
Exactly! Remember when Milan beat Deportivo 4-1 then lost 4-0 at the Riazor or Greece in Euro 2004. It taught me nothing is guaranteed. What happens on the pitch matters, not the names in the line-ups.
If Roma finish 6th and Atalanta finish 5th then Serie A gets 6 teams in the CL and its Roma in 6th that would get in. If Atalanta overtake Juventus and finish in the top 4, then Serie A gets 5 teams in the CL, and Juventus in 5th would get in. Roma can't finish in 5th as Atalanta are 3 points ahead with a better H2H against them
Apparently Tuchel heard Hoeneß' negative comments about him at the team facilities and said this has to be fake news. He went to hear the entire interview first hand and after that he went bananas, started fuming in anger. Hoeneß return has been a net negative. It's a shame because I have tons of respect for him.
AS reporting that Barca have an agreement now with Hansi Flick to be the next manager. What a clown show after begging Xavi to stay for 6 months.
We're going to need a support group meeting for all those over the past couple years who wanted Hansi to come to Madrid.
Flick is incredibly basic. People overrate him taking that absolute machine of a Bayern team at autopilot.
Xabi benched his striker and top scorer Boniface. Not only that but it seemed Frimpong was playing more central than his usual wingback position at beginning of the season. He has been experimenting these last weeks with even Frimpong as false 9, was on the verge of losing the streak against Stuttgart, Dortmund and Roma. They played their best football with Kossounou, Tah and Tabsoba in defense, Grimaldo and Frimpong as wingbacks, Xhaka and Palacios/Andrich in midfield, Wirtz, Hofmann and Boniface on top. Don’t understand why he started 6 defenders in a final against Atalanta and no striker.
That's what I always say... It's good to be optimistic, and I prefer us saying we are favorites than going the fake humbleness path Guardiola used to take during his Barcelona press conferences. However, anything can happen during those 90 minutes. Hell, we lost to Sheriff in the Bernabeu. The CL final will be extremely tough.
Great deal for Milan if they reinvest it on 3-4 good players. No use holding onto young players who doesn't have motivation to play at top level. Diaby last summer rejected Saudi mega offer for Aston Villa. 🚨 Al-Hilal wants to sign AC Milan star Rafael Leão. 🇸🇦✍️Leão's father will travel to Saudi Arabia this week to negotiate with club. ✈️The €175M release clause won't be an issue for the Saudi club. 💸✅(Source: @ojogo) pic.twitter.com/jI4wWY2Dec— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) May 23, 2024
