Atalanta Bergamo doing the business against undefeated Leverkusen in the EL Final. Have always liked the way Lookman plays the game.

I hope they can finish it off. Definitely not over yet. Need at least another goal (maybe by Scamacca)

At work. Gonna tune in the 2nd Half. Leverkusen has had about 8 wins or draws this season earned through late goals so definitely not over yet.

I have seen the odds for Kaiserslautan in the Pokal Final on Saturday. I'm not a gambling man or I'd drop some money on it.

3-0 Lookman completes the hat trick. Assist from Scamacca.

Also, Scalvini has had a really strong game IMO.

Important for Scamacca to get a goal contribution, goal or assist, in a major cup final. He's our guy, he has to be for the EUROs and beyond. Also please stay with Gasp. people bemoan his playing time but Gasp is getting the most out of him.

I'm feeling good now. Scamacca, I'm up on Chiesa again, Raspadori was explained to me, Scalvini and Calafiori are legit. Jorginho is the best midfielder ever and an even better PK taker. Youtubers who worship England are still suggesting our best striker is Immobile. We're flying under the radar. Life is Good.

    I'd pick Lookman any day!

I'm betting Englad is regretting not picking him!

Amazing achievement by Atalanta who took out a formidable opponent in a European final.

For the Italian players, Scamacca did his job well even if he didn’t get a goal. Scalvini was also good. We forget he is only 20. And my unsung hero of this team is Ruggeri. He is often overlooked by everyone, but you can make the case that he should included into the senior team.

I am not sure what to take away from Scamacca's performance. He did well holding up and bringing his teammates into play. But he also miss hit his shots which he doesn't seem to do often the way he did at least twice tonight. I just hope it wasn't the pressure that got to him when the stakes are high

He had a look up on that 2 vs 2, would have loved to see him have a crack at goal, but dishing it off for the Assist proved to be the correct decision.

Gasperini stayed true and played his backup GK for this one -- yet another circumventing rules to get an Italian passport. Proved to be easy work for La Dea, surprisingly.

Andrea Pinamonti likely won't join Sassuolo in B. Fiorentina have tabled an offer.

That's good. I hope he takes the opportunity, or he gets (and takes) another offer.

Pinamonti would start for Fiorentina, wouldn't you think?

COMPLIMENTI AD ATALANTA!! Grande prestazione. Cosi si gioca a calcio. Gasperini can have whatever job he wants right about now.

I'm tough on Scamacca but over the last couple weeks he's really been fantastic at assists and getting his team involved. He's really maturing as a prima punta. It might not have looked like he did much tonight, but watch BL's defense. They were SCARED to death of him. He drew a ton of attention and it opened up space for Lookman. That is exactly his job for Gli Azzurri. Sure we want him to score, but imagine Chiesa with space? Could be a fun summer ragazzi!

I'll add that both Ruggeri and Scalvini are homegrown players.

Gasperini plays different Lineups and tonight he really went for it. Played both Lookman and Scammacca (does that about 1/3rd on the time), other times has 1 start and the other subs on. CDK and their #10 Teun Koopmieners as well. Real attack-minded. It didn't hurt that Leverkusen were flat but Atalanta really went for it. A far cry from the Coppa Italia Final.

I think that is just part of his game you take the good with the bad in terms of his shot selection.

A post i saw on twitter sums his game up best:

    Like Fabio Quagliarella.

He wasn't prolific but I'd say 90٪ of his goals were beautiful.

Seems like this Preliminary List will include some younger players like Fagioli of all people and the aforementioned Ricci.

If this is Spalletti's way of easing them into the setup ahead of the next cycle then I'm all for it.

i may be in the minority but i would take Fagioli over some of our other midfield options (especially over Jack).

He's 23... he could use the experience in a major tournament. He'll be fresh. Can't hurt to take him as one of the extra 3 in the 26.

Also, could be that Bologna took off Calafiori around the same time... but once he got subbed in for Juve for Rabiot.. is when they started the 3 goal comeback... just sayin!

Although healthy, he has zero match fitness. He will be behind his teammates and opponents.

Ricci is a different story but I wouldn't take him either.
