That's actually my concern. Trump was pretty f'ing ineffective as president. Judgeships matter, but that's largely luck of the draw. Swarms of ideological incels? That's scary.
The last book I posted about in this forum’s book recommendation thread, Key Thinkers of the Radical Right, helps put this into context: these people are not the kids that in the past worked for their colleges’ conservative newspapers in the hopes of landing that internship that would open the door to a lifetime of party-hack gigs with the GOP. These are extremely online loners influenced by the likes of Greg Johnson, Richard Spencer, Curtis Yarvin, and Jack Donovan. And here’s the thing that evangelicals and conservative-leaning Catholics need to realize, STAT!: these people and their followers are not Christian. In fact, they are usually explicitly anti-Christian to the extent that they reject the ritualistic invocation of “Judeo-Christian” values and culture. Why? First, because Jews. And second, they tend to reject Christianity on the nihilist/Nietzschean grounds that it promotes egalitarian values and restricts the Will to power that is the birthright of all right-thinking powerful men. A second Trump term will unleash forces that many Trump supporters do not want unleashed. Forces which, of course, most Trump groupies would love to see unleashed.
I think it is important to understand that this is largely about sex-- these are men (mostly) who wish to exercise dominion over desirable women, and the ideology is largely window dressing to offer justification for that wish. If it isn't God's Will, it is Nature's Law.
I think for most of them, yes. But for this guy and his fanboys, women aren't the least bit desirable . . . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Donovan
The irony is that if these guys didn't think that women are to be dominated, but understood that a relationship is a 50/50 partnership, they might actually be able to get a real-live flesh-and-blood woman to go out with them.
Yeah, I think we all recognize that it’s not easy for folks who have been Republicans their whole adult lives to just reject that. Yeah, some do, but most don’t. I sympathize. In these times, it’s very hard to stay grounded in actual factual reality, and it’s hard to maintain one’s principles. That’s completely different from youngsters becoming politically aware with no prior loyalties or history saying, yep, sign me up for MAGA. That generation will be a long term problem if they can start building resumes next year.
Ok, this is the ridiculous and it’s fun to point and laugh. But Jump to :23 seconds. You're imagining things. I don't think the base thinks about Rudy anymore. He's a loser, and they don't have time for losers.

Probably reading too much into it but I'm more interested in how he butchered chocolaty. chocley? chocoley? I have listened to it 3 or 4 times and I still don't understand what he is saying. Only if it was fair trade coffee. If he casually dropped in that it was harvested by exploited indigenous groups in a war-torn area, he would have improved his market share. Is anyone taking bets that the non-profit isn't real?
Maybe he was trying to say chocolatey or chicory and mixed them together. The non profit is probably real; the scam is in how much money actually goes to the charity. Probably. I mean, almost definitely.
Not a tweet but I have to share so let’s not clutter up a real thread. If you want a long marriage, marry a nerd. If you want a short marriage…marry someone in a profession that skews very, very young, which seems more of a tautology than anything meaningful.
