🚨🔴 Talks keep progressing between Vincent Kompany and Bayern. He’s really keen on this possibility, Bayern have discussed project with Belgian coach.Supervisory board approval needed but he’s a strong candidate, as exclusively revealed on Monday.More to follow. pic.twitter.com/hYeIdwi4A9— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) May 22, 2024
I like all of this. If this is truly the way he thinks and there's no reason to say otherwise, he will be a good fit here. He sounds a lot like Carlo when he speaks of talent and how to coach talent. Not that Carlo is the perfect coach and his approach is the only good one but to me his approach to coaching sounds similar to other coaches who have succeeded here and opposite of some of the ones who failed in a big way.
Golazo 2-0. Atalanta showing why they thrashed Liverpool at Anfield. High press caused Leverkusen mistake.
So far Atalanta seem to have no intention of letting them "calm down", not letting them play their game, constant pressure and Leverkusen can barely get out of their half, and as i type this Atalanta score again, Bayer has a lot of work to do
They’ve done that in an irrelevant league. This is the time to see if they REALLY have Real Madrid DNA when it matters…
Fully deserved. Masterclass by Gasperini. Xabi has to change something, fast. Should have after the 1-0. Atalanta all over them.
Leverkusen winning their first ever Bundesliga is not irrelevant. And they knocked out some irrelevant PL team too in EL.
Quality of opponents in Bundesliga is laughable. Look, I know you want Xabi to win, we all do, but this is Europa league final. So let them prove it when it really matters. Until then it’s all just hype.
It isn't. 5th placed team in Bundesliga is in CL final. Bayern even at their weakest in decade knocked out Arsenal and gave us a tough fight. It's a good league and country has a lot of quality local talent.
