Another tournament - yay! Our new manager will have limited time with his new squad as Liverpool probably have 90% of their first team playing in some summer tourney somewhere.

That said - I do enjoy the Euros - usually a very good level of football.

Yep, it’s going to be interesting to see how Arnehandles his first season with us in the Prem.
See if he can handle the curse of the draws that has stymied us so many times. 10 this last season. Drives me crazy. We had less losses than the Arse but the draws left them ahead.

    Up to be Arne now.

Citeh and Arsenal each had 10 games they failed to win.
We had 14. At least four of those draws should have been wins, which would have put us on 90 points and sandwiched between the teams in 2nd place.

We should have won at least one of the losses as well. BUT we didn’t so see if Arne can do what other bosses couldn’t. Stop leaking easy points.

Well, a few things (IMO). First, I'm a traditionalist, so I feel like (West) Germany should stick to their green away kits they've traditionally worn since the war. Second, if they're not going to stick to traditions, at least stick to German colors (i.e. black, red, or hell, even yellow as an away strip). Third, where the hell did they get pink and blue (purple?) from? Very bizarre and just feels like something some Gen Z intern shithead threw together at Adidas with the "trust me, bro, it'll sell" pitch. Wooooof.

The ultimate issue is - and this is very very big for a German team strip - it looks (Gott im Himmel!!!) FRENCH.

Some ppl got their noses out of joint over a flag logo on the England shirt so I'm sure some others will be outraged over a pink and blue Germany strip but why get upset?

Apparently the shirt is meant to represent diversity within Germany . In the modern world where ppl seem to want to get angry about the small stuff a symbol of acceptance and tolerance of diversity seems a good message to me.

No-one is forced to buy one.

It looks like a cheap ice cream/popsicle you buy from 7-11, or the ice cream truck around the corner

The whole "diversity" koombaya bullshit is just thrown in everyone's faces at every corner of life these days in the Western world. When it infects something as sacred to people as football, you can bet your ass it'll upset many.

Football is already naturally diverse. There's no need to shoehorn this horseshit in with it. But I know I'm in the extreme minority here with that opinion and to each their own. I'll be interested to see how it sells though.

There's a lot more serious things in this world to worry about mate other than a blue and pink shirt.

    England Squad for the start.

    The squad

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), James Trafford(Burnley)

Defenders: Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), Lewis Dunk (Brighton & Hove Albion), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Luke Shaw(Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier(Newcastle United), Kyle Walker(Manchester City)

Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold(Liverpool), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Kobbie Mainoo(Manchester United), Declan Rice(Arsenal), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)

Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Jack Grealish(Manchester City), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

I’d question Jones over Elliot. Harvey is much more dynamic on the pitch. Jarell Quansah must be pleased, despite his lack of experience. Trent listed as a mid-fielder.
Rashford is on everyone’s shit list lately.

Where are you guys getting pictures of the shirts???

Well, of course there are; but we could use that logic with several things we "worry" about in the 1st world.

True though what colour Germany chooses for their second strip isn't something that would even make me blink . Each to their own I guess.

I am too in many cases - except when it comes to throwing 9 yr olds into Peruvian volcanoes or burning crosses on people's lawns or village squares, etc.....
I still despise the start/re-start of football matches where two players don;t stand in the centre circle and knock the ball forward. The point of the game being to point in that direction... ;)

Wtf do they need 4 goalkeepers for? Surely 1 more midfielder would make a lot more sense?
