Also a debut last night for 19-year old Wayne Frederick of Colorado.
2nd overall pick in the Superdraft out of Duke.
Born in Maryland, he is a T&T dual-national (and has in fact been invited to a senior T&T camp already).

Debut in the USL for Ferree. Signed to the new San Diego MLS team, he is on loan with Orange County this year.

Noah Cobb deserves more attention. He’s definitely holding his own in MLS. And considering we have no other young center back options, it’s wild that we don’t talk about him more.

The U20s have some good prospects at center back but I’d support him getting a look there.

Lot's of really nice clips of him this year. The kid looks legit. I see that you put Argentine first. Transfermarkt has him playing for YNTs from both countries.... On the YNT threads I hear he may be going to play for Argentina again soon. I refuse to put significant time following dual nats.... so I guess I will put this kid on the back-burner.

Who knows. For years, his father has implied that Argentina was more aggressive with him.

All we can do is continue to invite him and make clear he’s wanted in the program.

And USSF in general is clearly very on top of things when it comes to dual nationals so they’ll make their best efforts.

Wiley and Luna are the two youngish players who are making the biggest impression this season. Offers likely incoming this summer transfer window. I know MLS teams don't like to sell mid-season but ya gotta strike while the iron is hot. I would imagine there will be interest in Bajraktarevic as well.

I like Luna a lot and fully expect him to get offers in the summer if he stays healthy and continues to get on the scoresheet. Wiley has all the physical traits you would want in a LB and his technique is pretty good as well... but I sure would like to see him ball out a bit more at the MLS level. If he could get anywhere near Lennon's assist numbers he would have offers coming out of the woodwork.

.................and our youth depth is so strong that Wiley, Luna, and Bajraktarevic might not make the Olympic team.

Griffin Yow's recent rise has put Luna's spot in serious jeopardy.

MLS is good enough now that players shouldn't leave until the right opportunity arrives instead of the first. Gomez, Cannon and Reynolds are warnings that outside backs should be choosy.

I don't disagree at all. Kind of related to my main point... I.e. that Wiley is currently a good complimentary piece for his MLS club (especially given his age) but I would prefer that he become a more integral piece of the AU offense before he thinks of moving to a more difficult league.

I'm hoping this becomes the prevailing path.

Galaxy academy star and USYNTer Mathis Albert training with Dortmund. This has generated a lot of talk in the twitterverse. It seems his father may have found a way to move to Germany for work, so Mathis perhaps is able to join Dortmund now. We'll see on this one. He's a really talented young kid. Still a long way to go like Cavan Sullivan.

First MLS goal for 20-year old Jacob Murrell of DCU. This seemed like a fun game.

Vargas played in a more forward role for Sounders today and was arguably the best player we had. Also of note, Reed Baker-Whiting got his first appearance back after the long hamstring injury recovery and I fully expect him to be pushing Nouhou for LB or possibly even starting as a LW because of poor attacking performances all season by everyone.

Hopefully Schmetzer actually lets the kids get a lot more playing time because our vets have been collectively trash this year and need benched.

RBW will get time because the manager definitely likes him but Nouhou pocketed Joseph Paintsil, made him move positions looking for some oxygen.

I watch Seattle because I like to pick a team to follow with good usmnt ties but I may not be as emotionally involved.

Seattle is playing basically every kid with a claim to a spot and a healthy hamstring. I don’t know who else they should be using.

What I worry about is when a team is playing the youngsters, and they're losing...............................are they just going to spend a fortune on foreign veterans to replace the kids.

I don’t think so. Atencio and Vargas seem to have a lock on one of the 6/8 spots in the double pivot, they’re fighting over who gets to play it usually. Vargas has looked pretty good as the Cristian Roldan replacement the couple of games Cristian has replaced his brother at RB. That’s a nice twist to his game. He’s probably a better dribbler than Cristian already but doesn’t have the eye for the pass just yet, but that’s to be expected. Reed Baker Whiting was the go to offensive fullback sub last year before his injury and Baker is the defensive FB sub. Those all seem like safe roles. They already spent on the foreign attackers and might spend some more but that shouldn’t matter to the young yanks too much.

NYCFC II (MLSNP team) beat the Colorado Switchbacks last night in the USOC.
This is the second USL Championship team they've beaten in a row (also eliminated Hartford) and they're in the round of 16.
Pretty talented bunch. Dual-national youngsters Maximo Carrizo and Christian McFarlane are the stars.

Kid has been getting the Messi treatment online today from the Union and MLS .

Also per the Philadelphia Inquirer Ernst Tanner said that MLS let the Union break the rules for HGP to sign Cavan

Two New York teams are some of the youngest in the hemisphere. NYCFC is tied as the youngest team on the field in the hemisphere. Interesting.
