Lol, i dont need to convince you. Im on board that we need a striker now (if we want silverware next year) Im not exited by any so I would rather throw this year away, wait until next which will be the last ever summer we will go for mbappe if he hasnt renewd. If he renwes, then we say ok, now both the 2 best in the world are under major contracts and nobody selling them to us so we look for alternativez, which again I am not exited about. So yeah, maybe its you who has to convince me that we NEED to win every year instead of correct planning to set up a winning team for a decade. I agtee that unless we get an elite 9, were jot winning anything next year. Difference is, im ok with it.

Also, Flo was just as pasive with the whole mbappe situation, maybe if we want mbappe to take a stand flo should look alive. I dont vlame flo but also dont blame mbappe 100%.

What does Flo "looking alive" realistically do to the Mbappayed situation other than make Madrid look like thirsty blokes? Flo actively being vocal about it doesn't magically make Madrid being able to match the oil club's financial packages.

Having a throw away year with Madrid? Thats fine on paper, but let's be realistic, there are no such things with this club. When was the last time the club intentionally did that? To top off this delusional lust of a certain player, there is no guarantee he'd join.

This is team management disaster 101.

If you're talking about the video, it's two years old, from June 2021.

The Telegraph reporting that Edu and Arteta are interested in signing Havertz for Arsenal, Chelsea asking £70mil (€82mil), Arsenal want to bring it down to £50mil (€58mil).

Love Luka but like someone else said, this is probably for the better. And out of both Kroos and Modric, Kroos is the one who looks like he has more to give next season.

Id rather see Kroos leave. He’s occupying the role that tchoumeni should have. Plus his style of play is not compatible with how we should be playing as a team with the youngsters and he’s an absolute liability on defense.

I don't see Tchouameni getting a starting spot under Carlo even if Kroos leaves.

Your completly right, I guess Im just gutted that there isnt a single realistic striker out there that I can get exited about next season. Kane just doesnt really do if for me. Ill have to wait for Endrik i guess.

Kind of hard to earn it when Fede/Modric/Kroos all played like utter shit for long stretches.

Makes you wonder if there's any competition left in european football should Newcastle find a loophole to spend this kind of money over here as well.

Lautaro again showed he's an underwhelming option. Not to mention City's back up striker benched him in important World Cup games. I think reports about Lautaro being plan B is like D'Agostino rumour in 2009 to reduce Xabi's price a bit. Zidane vs Rui Costa/Mendieta rumours in 2001 as well. It's an old trick of Florentino.

Bellingham is just the start imo. Florentino wouldn't want to give a free run to City in CL and to Barca in La Liga after what transpired this season in both competitions. I expect 250 ME+ spending like 2019. Kane will be the other big signing alongside Bellingham. If we cut corners, it will be by replacing Asensio slot with Brahim instead of splashing 60 ME+ on Havertz.

Liverpool isn't in UCL, why don't we go after Salah ?
Salah + Kane / Osimhen , along with the other signings would be a proper galactic window.

At least those guys have won us multiple trophies, no matter how much you disrespect them, the young players will have to show us that they are capable of the same on a consistent basis, the shoes are huge, you see one thing I see another, Tchou just wasn’t that good after the WC, just like the others you mentioned

If Modric leaves I want Desire Doue as a replacement. Imagine having both Endrick and Doue in your squad... Wonderkid galore

Kylian Mbappe turns 25 at the end of the year:

    • No UCL
    • No Golden shoe
    • No Balon d’or podium finish

He's not winning shit at PSG next season. He'd have to make a transfer in 2024, turn 26 in that season and that's probably the earliest he can get anything.

If he doesn't sign for Madrid in 2024 then he's simply a pesetero who doesn't care about legacy, Ballon d'Or etc and might as well stay in PSG for life.

He can't be happy with that, with all of the exposure that Real, Prem and Haaland are getting.

Had a random thought. These all young footballers seem much more close(social media). Maybe Florentino has some crazy attacking Galacticos in mind, mostly Brazilian, French and some of their clique(2024, 2025).

    Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo
    Cama-Tchouameni-Bellingham
    Davies-Alaba/Rudi-Militao-Hakimi
(Brahim, Endrick, Valverde, Fran, Ceballos etc)

    Like the shirt sponsor?

It’s so blatant with these clubs, but I find that most fans don’t care. We will see kids in Benzema and Ronaldo shirts if these Saudi clubs, before long we will see more and more Newcastle fans. They don’t actually care, I don’t know whether I will or not but it doesn’t feel like this will end well.
