The Boston College seat has to be on fire. 100% agree with Miami. Don't disagree with you on Ohio State, very similar to Wake Forest where it seems they just do enough to satisfy the administration.
Anyone know of what coach contracts are going into their final year? That can help us really narrow down which seats are hot.
Yes I agree Ohio state isn’t red hot just having seen the Walker tenure over the years you would think at one point in recent years they would get lucky and make a run for a championship and never have. Not sure how they put up with never being in contention for a championship there. BC you would certainly think so but there doesn’t appear to be any red alerts coming out of the program as far as I know. Maybe Arizona will be starting to get warm unless They begin to match the Amato years?
Moros turned around AZ in record time from the MESS she inherited from Tony. Tony's poor relationships with players kept the transfer portal in high gear. It caught up with him at Florida in short order. AZ was glad he left on his own. She took that team from last place in her first season (she was hired one month before the season) to tied for 5th in year two (out of 12 teams). She beat USC and outplayed UCLA before conceding a late goal. But you keep trumpeting your lies because you hate women. You have no credibilty. Where is your boy Tony these days?
You are correct she did take that team to last place her first season Arizona definitely could be warm if they have a similar year.
You are so immature. She was hired one month prior to the season. They lost several transfers and he interfered with recruits who had committed. She played with the hand he dealt her. With one year of getting her system in place she elevated them 7 spots. Your hatred for women s disgusting. Your public worship of that guy is batshit crazy. What is Tony doing these days? How about the massive entries into the transfer portal under him. Crickets from you on those topics.
Arizona have another poor fall and I could see that seat being hot. Winthrop is a seat that could also be feeling some heat right now.
You love exposing your own lack of credibility. You are a crabby old man who got beat out for jobs by women in your life. Cliveworshipper has a unique hatred for a woman you has cleaned up his pal, Tony's mess. What is Tony doing these days? How about the massive entries into the transfer portal under him. Still crickets from you on those topics.
Is Montana on the hot list with the investigation? People here have said that he is looking to get out (Applied to Denver). Or…maybe they told him to start looking elsewhere?
Tony is out of college coaching for alleged abusive behavior stated by multiple athletes. Not letting his athletes eat ketchup was pretty darn weird. The new coach at Arizona has had plenty of discontent among athletes in the last 18 months or so that is pretty well known. Finishing last in the conference probably didn’t help her credibility with her athletes year one. Montana- no idea what happened or is happening I had heard there was an investigation but have no other information.
Citowicki is on a long term contract at Montana that includes 3 meals a day at the dining center, and an unlimited budget at China Wok in the Denver airport so I think that was the connection to that part of the country.
HOT Boston College. 14-5-1 before Lowe got there, been a disaster since he arrived. Amazing how far downhill that program has gone. 3-31-3 in the ACC in his time and they also don't play the other ACC bottom dwellers this year. More than 20 players have departed during his time. Red alerts all over. Don't understand why those coaches go out recruiting, should concentrate on this year as there won't be future years for that staff the way that ship is sinking. Embarrassing that they hired a new assistant and she left after a month. San Diego. Haven't had a winning season since Lieberman got there. How can you not be successful there, it's a beautiful campus and can just recruit in southern Cali and do well Indiana. King of the 0-0 ties. Temple. 1 win season last year, difficult AAC conference to compete in. WARM Miami. Not going to say hot as their RPI showed they were one good win away from making the Tournament (although could easily argue they should be making the Tournament) Lafayette. One winning season in last decade Syracuse. Have to show some progress in year 5. 3-29-4 in the ACC under Adams, 1-15-3 if don't include the first year and the covid season Rhode Island. Jessee never has had a winning season there And like Ohio State, why aren't William & Mary and Illinois better? Shackford and Rayfield have had good careers, but not much of note these last few years of underachievement.
Totally agree with the above. Also, is @Collegewhispers gaslighting us? AZ WSOC 2020 4-5-1 in PAC12 (8th of 12) Moros hired Jun 2021 2021 2-9 in PAC12 (12th of 12) 2022 5-5-1 in PAC12 (6th of 12)
Temples a hard gig. How do you recruit in North Philadelphia at the moment with the past few years that city has had? Hard gig to convince players to come to
Winthrop? No one cares about Big South Soccer teams. Varga Left GWU because he was underfunded, Underpaid, and underappreciated. He also had to field and manage a team (1st team/2nd team) of 45 + players to get a 3rd full time assistant coach. Then they had to keep ALL those players happy. I think Winthrop is safe until he wants out.
And then posts details about Big South teams! Clearly someone cares here. "no one cares" is a bit harsh. Big South is weak but this isn't a thread about only P5s or even only about D1 jobs. Agree that Smith seems like he's on auto-pilot at Winthrop. Funny things happen though when new admins get jobs and are looking for low-hanging fruit on their staff to make an impression so you never really know. Plenty of examples.
I would say it is hard to really look at results of the Covid year as valid. It was pretty darn crazy some of the movement that happened in that aftermath if that spring as most college coaches will tell you the entire segment felt kinda unreal or fake. I will give Moros credit in her season she made sure that she could never finish worse in the conference so the only way was up
Looking at results in recent years they have been poor at Winthrop. Of an admin decides to start caring about womens soccer there could be a change. I would think Winthrop could be warm.
To YTRS- your agenda would be more effective if your posts weren't always an attack on the person. For someone who claims to be enlightened, you sure are aggressive towards others. Because someone disagrees with you , doesn't mean they hate women. Your schtick gets really old on here. I think the Arizona on the hot seat is premature. The point, I believe, was being made that this is an important season. Coach Amato went to the NCAA 5 out of his 8 years at Arizona. And always past the first round. Coach Moros has been at Arizona 3 years and has not been yet. Her Pac 12 position has improved. And the point about this being an important season. If she goes to an NCAA this year her upward trend would be solidified. She came in telling everyone how she was far superior to most coaches, which I think put a little target on her back, This is a great opportunity to prove she was right! It is also worthy to note the Pac 12 has gotten considerably worst in her time there. The Pac 12 had 2 teams in the 2nd round last year if I am remembering that correctly
