It's working on my smart TV again. I didn't even have to log back in.

So for the second week in a row I can't get MLS Season Pass to play on my android. It does nothing, or says there is an error. It just started doing this last week. Anyone know how to fix this?

What browser are you using? Are you on Wifi or mobile data? Do you have any 'bandwidth saver' type options used or any apps that do the same?

Not about apple, but about Fox sports.

If I do not have cable, the only way I can watch foxsports is with their app?

I know I can sign up to one of the sling packages, but all I want is the Fox sports channels.

I went to try to watch a playoff game but i was shocked to see that too is behind the paywall. Doesnt seem like the best pay to promote the playoffs/league. I guess ill just go back to not watching...

    Cable is a paywall.

True but i get way more value with cable than buying 1 league worth of games

Do you? I get the same value as cable at half the price with YouTube TV and Season Pass works out to $7.12/mo after taxes with the annual deal (that I'll get free next year with T-Mobile).

I've come to the conclusion that Apple/MLS should dump half their broadcast duos for next year and replace them with separate AIs that have been trained watching games called by really good commentators and analysts like Peter Drury, Ian Darke, Martin Tyler, Jon Champion, Andres Cantor, etc. and use them to call games. I'm watching games where its like the commentators have never even heard of DC United <insert joke here and move on>, seen them play, read any scouting, etc.

I will agree mostly but AI is never the answer. Apple has a couple of good commentators but in case you don't know (pardon me if you do. no insults meant by pointing it out) down in the lower right hand corner of the feed you can click on the audio feed and switch to "Local home team radio feed" for the sound. Now, during away games that will not help you most likely, but during Soldier Field matches it switches over to WLS and Dasan Robinson, Anderson and Thoma are good enough and know the names of the Fire guys at least. I prefer it over the Apple guys unless it's going to be Tyler Terens or Kevin Egan.

I know about it. We're STHs so we prolly hit 15-16 games a year, so not a lot of value there as you note.

I have mis season pass. One thing ive noticed is they dont have the extra time shows during the week? Does anyone know why they have not done that this year. They were pretty informative and the guys were pretty cool

They can be found where ever you listen to your podcasts. ETR has gone back to an audio onl;y format for 2024.

Local Team radio is a joke. It was not available for DC v Miami which I did not attend due to illness. Local Team radio is not available on replays. Why can't they offer both Team's radio so I can watch away games with my local broadcast?
Apple doing a terrible job in my opinion

The AI voices used on the Playstation do a better job than many of the Apple duos.

Right now I don't think DCU has a radio carrier.

That would clear that one up in a hurry. That's Apple's fault somehow, I'm sure.

Yesterday I had a wedding, so I didn't watch much, but I liked how they had a 2 pm et game followed by the normal 730, 830, and 1030 et games. Now this next weekend every game is 730, 830, 1030, and one Sunday game. I really wish they would have triple headers. I feel like we're getting ripped off since we have to pay and all of the games start at the same time. College basketball also takes 2 hours. Games can start anywhere from 12 pm et to 11 pm et and fans still watch. College football doesn't even tell you what time the game is until 6 days before and people still watch. There is no reason it shouldn't be like the NFL where they have 1 pm, 430 pm, and 8 pm et every Sunday.
