Taylor Swift is coming to Detroit this Saturday and I've never been so happy to not live in downtown Detroit.
Favorite race I ever did was the Detroit International Half Marathon. You cross into Canada on the Ambassador Bridge, run alongside the Windsor river walk, then go back into the US via the underwater tunnel. One silly thing that sticks out was a young lady (Round mid late 20s) on the Windsor side holding a sign that was flirty (You're fast! Call me at this and had a phone number. I laughed but it didn't occur to me to stop and ask if she had WhatsApp.
Meanwhile.... In Kazuma's backyard... https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2023/06/06/lasso-steer-interstate-ricky-littlejohn/
Who says smoking weed is harmless? "Me and Colin were very stoned a year ago and bought a ferry. And we're figuring it out," he said. The John F. Kennedy, a 277-foot vessel, shuttled commuters between the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Staten Island from 1965 until it was taken out of service in August 2021. https://www.foxbusiness.com/enterta...island-ferry-while-stoned-with-colin-jost.amp
So much to unpack here... a cow, two guys on four-wheelers, and a guy on horseback. Not at all the Detroit conservative America wants me to see. This could have happened 15 miles from my house. I don't get why cowboys still wear cowboy hats. Seems like there'd be better headgear tech for the job today.
Pete Davidson does not strike me as a guy who’s good at getting permits and working out union contracts.
The Bill Walton 30 for 30 was a good watch. I don't remember his UCLA or early Trailblazers days, but the dude kicked ass before injuries kicked his and he's definitely a 'Merican original
Like scouse said - if non idiots had bought it, say a Peter Gatien-style niteclub guy, that could be cool AF traveling around NY harbor.
Walton broke his foot the year after the Blazers won the championship. The team's record at the time was 48 - 10 and Walton's supporting cast was Maurice Lucas, Lionel Hollins and Dave Twardzik. Lucas was an old school power forward, Hollins was a poor man's Andrew Toney, and Twardzik was the ultimate glue guy, but they have to be the weakest trio of second bananas to start on a potentially great team. It was all Walton. I'm willing to go on record as saying that if Bill hadn't gotten injured, and then injured again and again, he would be the greatest player in NBA history.
I think that is what Davidson and Jost's plans are for the ferry. Although they call the ferry "windowless," so I'm not sure what they're thinking. Maybe they're still stoned.
They’re a useful shape for sun protection. Though I think a lot of people wear them just because that’s part of the costume. Around here it’s mostly Mexican-Americans who wear them. But they’re also the ones who do most of the cowboying these days.
He wasn’t saying the ferry is literally windowless, he’s comparing it to a windowless van—an ugly, utilitarian, slightly dated mode of transport.
Oh it’s a great idea. Had a friend who once considered buying an abandoned missile silo and converting it to a nightclub. It was going to be called “Ground Zero.”
Yup. I couldn't figure it out. Both DC and Cleveland changed., so I had to check their mascots. Nope. The only other team I could come up with is Florida State. But, yeah, that answer is wrong.
Norwegian yoot goes under 8 minutes in 2 mile https://thespun.com/more/top-storie...world-record-by-running-it-in-under-8-minutes
Apparently this is the fastest White sprinter ever. Still got smoked in NCAA final. 🤩 100M SCHOOL RECORD - 9️⃣.9️⃣7️⃣ Cole Beck is moving on to the Finals, 4th fastest time in the semifinals! #Hokies 👟 pic.twitter.com/YOM4UABWJf— Virginia Tech Track & Field (@HokiesTFXC) June 8, 2023
He's not a yoot. And this wasn't the only WR broken at the meet. Faith Kypyogon, who broke the 1500m world record last week, yesterday broke the 5000m. And she had run the 5000m 3 times in competition in the last 8 years. Geez, CP, are you doing "Only White people are important in Track and Field"?
There is a debate about that. Marquette became the Eagles some didn't see a need to change. I was surprised Syracuse dropped men and just because Orange.
