Top 200 cable sports for the week - WWE has the top 3 spots. CCL came in at #138 & #167 (Spanish cable/English cable, still missing Spanish broadcast)
So....Messi to MLS....whispers on the street are that Apple had a hand in landing him.... Anyone think or believe that ESPN and/or Fox would have done the same? NBC? CBS? WBD?
no, it’s an international play for Apple and it’s impossible to really measure impact of one player on any of the networks thru traditional means. Probably Messi gets a cut of subscriptions bought with a certain “MESSI” discount code or above a baseline
Nope! And now the MLS detractors are pissed that Inter Miami/MLS got help to signing Messi and say that in a Pro/Rel league that doesn't happen lol. A few days ago they were saying it would be a failure if MLS didn't land Messi and let him go to Arabia. Now....if only Apple can do the same for Neymar this season.
Didn't TransAmerica basically sponsor Colorado's Tim Howard signing? I think we'll see teams like LAFC, LA Galaxy, Atlanta etc take big swings on "world class" players...like Lukaku, Firmino etc. Could be a fun summer. Reminds me of when Bradley, Jozy and Giovinco Era started and suddenly 5-6 teams had players with national reputations making them "must watch". Hopefully a few other teams do something so its not just #MessiWatch
I'll say this again and again, if MLS had relaxed its rules this league could be so much better! I'm hyped for Messi in MLS, as many people are, but it is going to suck seeing him with such bad players surrounding him. A lot of eyes will be on Miami.
I have tried for over a month to get access to the MLS Season Pass that I paid for. Multiple phone calls have not worked. I will not be reupping for 2024.
Soccer TV coverage has probably peaked with today's cbs coverage of the ucl final. 90 minute pregame with a kickoff concert presented by Pepsi (super bowl halftime presented by Pepsi vibes) and they're just talking about the game at if it's a sport everyone knows. They're not talking about de bruyne being the quarterback. They're not saying that Manchester city is like the new England Patriots. Basically they are undoing the damage of Fox's excessive Americanization of the game and just giving it to us as is. And it's great. (This is also why I love how nbc does epl) soccer really can't "arrive" any more than this. It's here.
I am now able to access all matches on my phone, but just the freeview matches on my laptop. I called Apple TV several times.
What kind of laptop? If it's a mac it has to be on MacOS Ventura (13.3? I believe). If it's a Windows Laptop you'll need to use either Chrome or Firefox to watch Apple TV https://support.apple.com/guide/tvp...PC (including,Chrome and Firefox web browsers.
try this: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop Also scan for malware/adware, that can block content from loading. So can ad blockers and extensions.
Yet again, another frustrating experience with this crap service. Hopefully they fix these issues before Messi comes in. Imagine if I were just some casual fan dropping in real quick.
