Btw I vote to keep the thread title. Only few things like RM prestige still competing against oil clubs like City, PSG when it comes to landing elite talents.

Florentino sure has a flair for the dramatics. This deal was done over 24-hours ago, announced by Dortmund but we're still dragging it along for maximum drama for 'pop' and exposure. :D

    Ignore cry cry baby.

No to creativity! Yes to lame puns and wack one-liners! :D

I personally think the Bellingham signing will be a major factor in encouraging Kane to push for a transfer to RM and perhaps help in accelerating the negotiations + reducing the asking price. I'm cautiously excited.

Just imagine Bellingham and Camavinga duo

Man these guys have years to develop with one another. Just hope we don't tie either down and allow them to grow their creativity

Hey Jude, don't join the prem; go to Madrid and make them better.

Great player. Hope his first season here is better than Tchouameni's.

For well you know that it's a fool who joins PSG
By making his career a little duller.

Man, Camavinga - Fede - Tchou - Bellingham.... that's like Florentino is collecting gems for his Thanos infinity gauntlet.

Every other club in the world is looking at that and feeling jealous.

I want to paint a picture of just how good Jude Bellingham is. He has all the tools to play any role in midfield.

    Screen Shot 2023-06-08 at 10.30.17 AM.png

For attacking midfielders, you want players that are creating chances in and around the box. Look at his numbers:

99th percentile in non penalty goals
97th percentile in non penalty xG
    94th percentile in shots
93rd percentile in xG +aG so in expected goals and expected assists
    93rd percentile in shot-creating actions

He's a world class attacking mid.

For box to box midfielders, you want players that can bring the ball up. Look at these numbers:

    94th percentile in progressive passes
    92nd percentile in progressive carries
    99th percentile in successful take-ons
    98th percentile in touches
87th percentile in progressive passes received

For defensive midfielders, you want players that can win the ball back. Look at these numbers:

    93rd percentile in blocks
    73rd percentile in tackles
71st percentile in interceptions and aerials won

Of course, players in different systems can produce different numbers. Madrid's style of play is different to Dortmund's. But we're getting a profile that is the complete package and already among the absolute best in the game and just 19 years old.

There aren't many midfielders currently better than Bellingham and he's just getting started.

Such an interesting profile .....he is like Valverde.... but with technique and flair....

Less of an engine of course, because let's face it Fede is an alien.... but can still run up and down and tackle all game.

Makes me happy when a super talented Englishman comes to join Real Madrid.

Now I just need to know what number he’s got so I can get the new shirt ordered when available.

As in Fede doesn’t have technique and flair ?

You’re gonna be surprised by his stamina then. He has a big engine too. At par with Fede’s. You’ll see him routinely defending in or around our own box and then just glide into advanced attacking positions seamlessly when we get the ball.

Federico has plenty of technique tho. I have seen very few (technique wise) who hit the ball like him. He has a unique way alll his own.

Thanks for compiling this. Great read. It just validates the eye test with him. A compete midfielder and he’s just 19. He’ll be a monster at 23-24.

Ok technique was not the right choice of word....I meant more Flair.... Jude is much more of a dribbler and someone who does more "skill/trick" moves compared to Fede.

Of course Fede has amazing technique.

True. I also meant play in tight spaces....Fede isn't the greatest at that. Jude seems a bit more comfortable with that....closer to a Modric than Fede is. That's all I mean.
