MVT and her coaches just need to focus on getting a repeat of this....
    Distance Covered.JPG
Get this level of effort from the players again, and then we can begin discuss who did what at the world cup...;)

So... MVT has openly confirmed she wasted everyone's time for a year, forcing Anyomi to play within a RB role... wow...

And what does this mean for the WC squad, when MVT already has Bühl - Brand - Huth - Waßmuth, as wide forwards. Popp - Schüller as her two forwards. And Magull - Freigang as CAM's...

The only way Anyomi fits into the discussion of forwards, is if MVT removes one of these more established names...:cautious:

I believe this will be MVT's final 23...
    FW: Popp - Schüller
WF: Bühl - Brand - Huth - Waßmuth
    CAM: Magull - Freigang
    DM: Oberdorf - Leupolz
CM: Lohmann - Däbritz - Lattwein
FB: Linder - Rauch - Kleinherne
CB: Hegering - Hendrich - Doorsoun - Nüsken
GK: Frohms - Berger - Johannes

But I also say this knowing the battle for the teams LB role could easily go to Simon...:cautious:

And WTF is this reserve list of names MVT created lol... Dongus, Feldkamp, Grohs, Kössler, Wedemeyer, Rall, Minge... then Müller, Wamser, and Kassen...o_O

What the hell does Senß have to do before these dummies acknowledge the quality she provides as a CM lol. What happened to Gudorf...? And we pretending Leitzig didn't end her loan deal in England as one of their leagues best players..?

OK... so I'm reading why MVT is unhappy with the Bayern contingent of players not being released for wnt duty as previously scheduled, and I really don't get it...

Even though they'll have taken part in a UWCL final, 10 Wolfsburg players are joining the preliminary wnt camp for the game Vs Vietnam, but the 5 Bayern players MVT selected aren't...o_O

Yeah... I have various issues with the way the DFB/wnt operates alongside the league clubs, but this seems like a new level of dumb lol.

Neither Doorsoun nor Nüsken should be in this squad as CBs. I wouldn't bring along Nüsken... but I guess Doorsoun will have to come because of lack of options.

    Mahmutovic is also out.

Then definitely Hagel and Krumbiegel too.

I wonder if Anyomi's going to make it. She's been in great form lately, and I think MVT really likes having her around. Not sure who else MVT should drop from this extremely large pool of great players she can select from

Honestly, I really hope we'll see Lohmann real breakthrough in Australia/New Zealand this year, but I really worry she's going to get benched for Däbritz again... when truth is that Lohmann offers way more than what Däbritz has done for the past years really

Both Däbritz and Leupolz offer really good squad depth, but I'm not convinced they should start ahead of someone as talented as Lohmann. Oberdorf and Lohmann are basically the talents Däbritz and Leupolz once were, only way better

I hoped Küver would have been the new defensive option for this WC, but with Hegering's fitness in doubt again, it's definitely concerning to think this team will need to use Doorsoun, or Nüsken, as CB replacements....:cautious:

And this even though none of us have actually seen MVT's Germany effectively deploy the same high energy counter-pressing style we all witnessed at the Euro's; meaning we don't actually know if Nüsken potentially better suited to a high press defensive system, instead of the weird incohesive mess we've seen for past friendlies...

If this about form though, Kössler would be part of this discussion, no?

But I know what you mean here, as MVT was previously asking FIFA to allow increased squad sizes for this tournament, as she simply didn't want to leave personalities like Dallmann, or Anyomi, at home.

Meaning she's probably trying to find a way of getting Anyomi into this WC 23, even if it means removing one of Popp - Schüller - Bühl - Brand - Huth - Waßmuth - Magull - Freigang from the final selection....o_O

They were brought in for the friendly vs mighty Vietnam due to the 5 missing Bayern players. I guess this could mean Kossler & Minge could be next in line if injuries happen to the original lineup(though obviously change if let’s say two original CB picks can’t make it)

I really felt last year’s strong conditioning was a key asset to Germany’s fantastic showing early on(vs Denmark & Spain). Now got to wonder if they can replicate that with Bayern’s late release of its players, as well that their last week’s training will be in Australia, instead of the more familiar domestic camp grounds.

another tricky factor is that Germany will need to peak at the round of 16 & quarter finals, instead of the rather easy group play

and Germany will have to defy a little history this time as it’s starting lineup this time is dominated by one club(Wolfsburg ala 7 starters), previous NT’s powered by super clubs like Spain & France flopped at the world stage. Judging Wolfsburg’s performances over their last several games, the players have become very complacent, to a point where here even an weak-ish Meppen squad could compete with them on equal basis
    ——————————————/
not trying to pooh-pooh Germany’s chances, but I see this time an wide open World Cup with no clear favorites, it’s there for the taking…..

so your not taking Anyomi?(unless injured, an 100% pick) After she’s chosen, don’t ever tell me again I don’t know my soccer!/ or you could definitely be putting your reputation on the line, lol

from reading an article on Senss, she’s also an registered nurse, a job not to be taken lightly and what should be. very well paying job(or at least in the US), so taking it that her BL soccer stint is more part time

though she’s one of my faves, but wonder if Wassmuth the most vulnerable in not getting picked for the final squad? I mean her time at WOB has become very minor, supporting role to a point that a-hole Stroot didn’t even give her any minutes in the CL final

can Simon play right-side FB?—as most likely she’ll get the nod over Linder(as when did MVT ever pick an FB who can actually defend? lol)

What the hell are the wnt coaches doing, selecting Wamser as one of their fist inline to replace main squad players....:speechless:

Oh really... now you think MVT's strong conditioning was a key asset for Germany's highly effective counter-pressing style of play. Hmmm, I wonder what could have given you this impression...

And if you don't understand how this data works, Germany would maintain this impressive work rate throughout the entire tournament, not just the group stages (as you'd later try to assert in your post..;)).

... Why do you continue to repeat this nonsense lol, when it should be perfectly clear by now, nobody following women's football/ANY football, actually going into tournaments expecting to see major crossover between club or international football.

With you insinuating Germany will need to defy some misunderstood element of football history, also sounding even more asinine, when they've already won back to back world cups on the foundations of the wnt being primarily built around the nations two most successful clubs (Frankfurt and Potsdam), but currently in a modern climate where almost everyone fully aware UWCL success having ZERO correlation to the fortune of the best clubs respective wnt's.

I don't even like MVT lol, but can genuinely grasp the key factors behind her going from a team unable to stop Serbia from scoring against them, to later form the a team with the strongest defence at the Euro... and guess what, it had very little to do with the amount of players she selected from one club...:coffee:

Which is EXACTLY WHY I've only ever said a post Euro's Germany in a great position to once again finally regain their position as a genuine WC contender...

Your just here still wasting your own time trying to tell me why Germany can't win anything, when I've only ever been openly hoping this next challenge can see these players go a step further than the Euro's, and actually win.

LOL... I'm not giving you any potential W's on this... outside of the US, you don't know soccer lol. And my prediction for the final 23, is simply based on the fact MVT openly stated Anyomi now part of the rosters forwards; meaning she now alongside FW: Popp - Schüller WF: Bühl - Brand - Huth - Waßmuth CAM: Magull - Freigang, competing for a WC place...o_O

So if you think your validated by MVT potentially making another bad decision here by taking Anyomi to a WC ahead of any of those names, I'm convinced your looking to repeat the same path of denial that prevents you from honestly analyzing the infective performances of Dallmann...:whistling:

Ayomi simply not better than Popp - Schüller as a FW. Not better than Bühl - Brand - Huth - Waßmuth in the WF roles. And certainly not better than Magull - Freigang in the CAM role. Only leaving the non related football reasons for Anyomi's inclusion... these reasons I also stated in my WC final 23 prediction...:cautious:

Yes hotjam2... these women have full life's outside of football lol...

Someone like Kössler earning her wnt position through hard work and good form, damn... I still feel some of these nominations becoming legit comical in their truly random nature. With it being almost disrespectful to see a rookie Wamser in senior wnt contention ahead of a consistent high performing Senß, who's now somehow even further behind her peers, thanks to half a seasons good form from Minge...

Using your logic, why would MVT be selecting Brand then..:whistling:

Yeah... we all know Brand was going to WC if she was glued to Wolfsburg bench all season lol. And if MVT hasn't learned anything since her errors during the Euro final, it would be on full show againh if she left out a genuinely dangerous attacker like Waßmuth from her WC final 23.

Unfortunately, no... if Simon was just a little faster, or more physical, I'd imagine a reality where MVT confidently selecting her as a fantastic left sided CB option. But no... Simon is super left footed, and has only ever been a LB, used 100% of the time as a LB through the entire run of her junior wnt and senior club career too.

But hey, maybe MVT does something crazy and trials Simon as a RB, or CB for the first time in her career..., but I feel like Kleinherne has taken this multi functional role for MVT now, even though she isn't a very good FB within high counter press style, and is still too physically undersized for a international CB too (this remains her best position though).

I'm sure Rauch, and Simon, could be deployed in a RB role and still be more effective than Kleinherne though, so who knows. There's various things MVT could do, but we probably won't ever see lol. Remember, were talking about a coach who only realized two months ago Linder actually a competent player...

    I can see how your all gun ho on last year’s results, but take it easy tiger, there’s lot of explaining to do;

2nd & 3rd highest work rate Italy & Finland ended up dead last in their respective groups so how do you explain that? lol

but it’s fair to say then that the pre tourney camp was very successful. Can MVT replicate that?—She’s already complaining that her training schedule been screwed up by Bayern

I’ve had similar debates/arguments with Anericans fans that regardless of history, US chances are very slim to repeat(as too many top players are missing on an team that has had to rebuild anyways).
Similarity wise, there’s just too much mixed results coming out of Germany; substandard performances from either the NT & it’s flagship club WOB all year around. Brand & Lohmann careers haven’t been exactly surging as one was hoping it would(their stats from two years ago were better).’
And then you got to consider that teams from relatively easy groups usually don’t fare well in the playoff rounds

What...? But this post has NOTHING to do with your initial point. You know, where you were trying to pretend to have revealed something nobody understood about MVT's team; when in fact this information already free and available to anyone who wants it, with the results showing MVT's side playing the same way from competitions start, to it's eventual end.

See.. to effetely deploy their counter pressing system, it required Germany's players exert an incredibly intense amount of sprinting. But somehow, you've managed to twist this into a negative of Germany only doing this during the group stage, even though data says the complete opposite...

MVT says a lot of things which will seem to make far more sense prior to us actually seeing her ideas in action... (you know I don't like her)

But the fact remains, despite appearing to be in complete denial whenever talking about her pre Euro's team being in good shape, it only took MVT a few weeks of close up work with her players, to eventually create one of the best German wnt tournament performances we'd seen in YEARS.

And yet USwnt fans were crying doom when they'd seen their much changed team lose 3 consecutive games, with one of those being a home defeat to an equally fraudulent Germany 11 lol.

Poor DFB leadership allowing rival wnt's to rise as their own wnt program would go YEARS (not weeks/months) without producing a good senior team... I honestly have absolutely ZERO interest in hearing USwnt/any rival fans whine about their current situation lol.

Again, have you already forgotten how bad Germany looked prior the Euro's..? Compared to how everything looked back then, this team is practically flying lol.

And PLEASE... stop trying to attach the fates of wnt's to their nations club football, or the fates of club teams to the success or failure of wnt's. Repeating the same fallacy doesn't make it anymore true, no matter how much confirmation bias you continue to try and attach to this topic.

Oh... and I'm not wasting anymore energy on your continuously irrational bad takes concerning non US related young talents...::rolleyes:. Your takes on this subject just remain absolutely HORRIBLE, and seeing you continue this by using examples like Lohmann, and Brand lol, yeah...

This an expanded 32 team WWC, where experience of tournament endurance will be a new for everyone involved; and this during a time period the idea of "weaker" nations a far harder task to identify within a climate of improved global professionalism.

The last time Germany able to win a WC, they'd beat Argentina 11-0 during the group stage of 2007's 16 team WC finals. But I feel your being dishonest, or playing the role of a fool, to claim Germany capable of doing something similar to that Vs Colombia in this years WC group stage.

Seriously... it feels like your placing increasingly weird/random parameters on what Germany can and can't do during this coming WC. Too many old players, too many young player, Not professional enough, too many pro's from one club. Not fit enough, but concern should exist around training leaving players fatigued...

Now you've added Germany placed within an easy group, making their path more perilous... We get it... you don't need to try so hard to find so many random reasons for why you don't think Germany will win lol.

I guess with Germany being ranked #2, everything below making the finals would be an disappointment? Got to call out @blissett, where's Japan?(thought they were at least top 10 material, or by some, numero uno!)
other worthy mentions; Spain's done really well despite the revolucion of 15 former NT's, but just today, CL/mvp Patri did announce she will NOT participate in the WC. Despite Wiegman's protests WSL clubs said they wouldn't release their players till July 1st. Canada looks desperate as they announced both Prince & Rose on their WC squad even though they both got ACL's barely 6 months ago.
