Thoughts and prayers to the Tesla brand safety people it can’t happen here, they said pic.twitter.com/C8q9PCPc7v— Will Stancil (@whstancil) June 7, 2023
I just went down a rabbit hole on what the everlivin' fcuk the adrenochrome conspiracy is/was. All I can say is "wow". It makes no sense but it feels like a snowball effect conspiracy theory that rolls up Jeffrey Epstein, Biden, Trump, vaccines, and just ...wow. It's a lot I'm just glad I used my phone instead of my govt issued laptop. Also I assume that the subtweet reference to "J" are Jews? EDIT -oh now it makes sense about Mel Gibson. Apparently he is making a documentary on child trafficking. Double glad I am using my personal phone.
Needless to say, there is a Simpsons reference that works here - Mr Burns gets his youthful vitality back after a blood transfusion from Bart.
Simpsons references work everywhere. Wasn't Elon supposed to build some sort of maglev tunnel between Columbus and Chicago? It's almost like he should work on one idea at a time.
I think he already did do that The best analysis I have seen of him is that he should be regarded more as a proprietor and 'starship designer' than a real CEO. He obviously isn't really running any of these places when you consider all the absurd things he is involved in Only a gullible tech media can really believe you can be running twitter, be CEO of Tesla and be a starship designer all at once. It seems more like he just runs around in a mania from rave floor to c-suite
Russians ain't Christians. They're commies. Imagine how happy Reaganites would be to be fighting a proxy war against a wounded Russia. They might not even have to do an end around Congress to get some boots on the ground. We just let mercenaries do what they please nowadays.
Elrond is way into Q land these days I agree that stuff is wild - I think Trump was promoting the Clinton Frazzle Drip stuff at once stage? I remember PSA had an explainer on this and like you, i was stunned at the insanity
If Musk was making a bonfire of literal cash instead of digital cash, it wouldn’t just be Canada polluting the air. If an encyclopedic knowledge of the Simpsons was monetizible, YOU could buy Twitter. I’m pretty quick with obscure references to song lyrics, baseball stats, and UNC basketball…like, literally annoyingly so. (So I’ve heard. And seen. And on a few occasions, felt in my arm as I was punched.) Im not even in your league with this shit. EDIT: but you use it charmingly, not annoyingly. Carry on
He does have a 1 km of long tunnel in Las Vegas that someone can drive you around in a TESLA. Like a little monorail.
There are separate ideas here. First, Musk proposed a small passenger sled traveling extremely fast within a vacuum tube called "Hyperloop". He knows this idea would never work (in any possible sense of the word) so he never made a company to do it, but instead let others spend lots of money and have nothing to show for it except build the reputation of Musk because the promise is big and the failures are quiet. Second is the idea of putting underground freeways for only his cars in cities and he made a company called The Boring Company to make the passages for these. This is a totally different stupid idea. This is what was put in place in Las Vegas.
The Boring Co was also later admittedly a ruse to defund public transportation infrastructure so more Teslas would be needed on the road.
Yes - boring company is an obvious scam. Making those tunnels is of course difficult and expensive, and specialist engineering companies exist who do this work. The idea Musk has any special capabilities in this area is nonsense.
He claimed his tunnels would be cheaper, but it turns out the only reason for that is that they are narrower. And if you make a long tunnel for cars not even wide enough for them to open their doors in an emergency, all you've done is make a death trap for extremely rich people. You know, maybe I'm not so much against the idea now.
They're also cheaper because they don't need as much ventilation. Gas cars aren't allowed in those tunnels, and EVs don't burn air or emit exhaust. The original plan was to just build tunnels with no ventilation - much cheaper! - but there's some kind of code that says you can't do that, because it turns out people need to breathe.
Considering how cars have gotten much bigger over the years, making tunnels narrower doesn't seem to be a smart move.
The original intent was that the Tesla's would be self-driving, so you could get away with narrow lanes. Well, in that it is a single lane that isn't much wider than the car's wheelbase.
