Alonso got some minutes with second team so that is nice. Looking forward to having Wiley back soon too.
Is Wiley not back yet? We got kicked out of that international tournament already. I’m going to miss this one because a 10:30 kickoff on a weeknight is preposterous. I have to be up at 5:15 tomorrow because… Army. I hope our run of recent results continues and the lads can pull off a draw against one of the best teams in the league at their house. I also hope it’s 3-3 again instead of 1-1 or 0-0.
We just got bounced out of the tournament a few days ago. He probably didn't get back to Atlanta until yesterday. I wonder if he is even in LA.
He played a lot of minutes down there too. Deserves a rest and be ready to start at home this weekend hopefully.
Here's to hoping LAFC is hungover from their Sunday match! On the bright side, Atlanta got through the first minute without giving up a goal!
19' 0-0 First good sign for Atlanta tonight - The ref is actually calling aggressive play by LAFC players. Palacios draws a yellow.
23' sees Guzan make a fine save off a cross and volley. Shortly after Ciafuentes gets a yellow for hacking Almada.
Ibarra gets a yellow. Everybody drink. Has he started a game this season without picking up a yellow?
27' and Ibarra gets a yellow. Claims by LAFC that they should have a free kick about 20 yards out. I can see it either way, but it's not an option for VAR.
They didn't give up a goal in the first half. Best I can say. Not for lack of trying with all those giveaways....
HT: 0-0 Considering there were moments where it looked like Atlanta was a man down I'm thrilled with the result thus far.
50' and Atlanta gets away with a rash moment from Guzan outside the box. I'm wondering if I should go back to finishing that Korean drama I was watching, instead.
57' and Wolff comes in for Etienne, who literally just received a ball on the left from Gutman but then instead of feeding him on the overlap or cutting into open space, follows Gutman toward the end line and into a crowd.
Every time LAFC comes forward they have numbers, they look dangerous. Every time Atlanta gets forward it feels like it's 2 vs 5.
