Simeone seems to have agreed terms with Lazio, club to club negotiations pending. Nagelsmann probably going to PSG. ADL is ready to hand a 4m net per annum (double his current number) contract to Italiano after tonight's conference league final. The transfer deal for him may include some players changing hands. The only other candidate at this point seems to be Rafa Benitez.
We can't have expected Simeone to leave so soon. We must have lined someone really good. Italiano or bust it seems.
Makes sense for Lazio as they are looking for a long term replacement for Immobile. Juve seem to have abandoned the Giuntoli pursuit. It seems that they don't want to go through the hassle of breaking his contract. However, there might be a premiership team that will
Gazzetta reports that ADL and Osimhen + his agent are set for a big meeting. ADL wants to put it in the clear that he wants Osimhen to sign an extension and that he won't sell him below his asking price. It's up to Osimhen to tell the club what he wants to do
Simoene wont go. The rumours have been denied. ADL is evaluating names. Agree we will only get Italiano as part of a bigger deal. After De Zerbi he is my top choice.
"He was asked if he will watch the Conference League Final this evening between Fiorentina and West Ham United. “Yes I will, but not because I am interested in Italiano. I congratulated Italiano in the locker room when he beat us with Spezia a few years ago at the Stadio Maradona. Italiano is an excellent coach, but he has a commitment to Fiorentina. It is not fair to break the balance of a club that is friendly with us and sees things the same way, engages in the same battles. “If Italiano were the one who decided to break the balance within his club, then at that point I could take him into consideration. But I didn’t put him in my list of 40 names because he is under contract. I also have no intention of paying any release clauses, seeing as coming to Napoli is not an obligation.” So there goes that name
Everything's on fire, but there are a few weeks left. I worry about how not having a coach will impact our summer signings. The longer it takes, the fewer coaches will be available who are at the natural end of their contracts.
After seeing the game today I change my mind on Italiano. I don’t want him. Fiorentina’s pressing was great but everything else was bad. Passing without purpose, no game plan, no chance creation and why play such a high line in the last minute of a final?
Guys, is this real life? Everyone else in Italy is under complete chaos and our biggest problems are who will replace a CB (one with which we'll receive 60mil for) and finding a coach to take us to the next level. We're also sitting on gold with Osimhen, Kvara, Lobotka, Anguissa, and Di Lorenzo locked up for at least the next 2 seasons.
Italiano might be the one to force the break with Fiorentina. According to reports, he is still 1st on the list for Napoli even though ADL has denied interest.
Ambrosino is getting great reviews in the FIFA U-20 WC. Curious to see what the incoming manager does with him
Man U found a different defender, so they're now suggesting Kim is going to Newcastle again. Apparently he already moved out of his apartment in Italy, and went back to Korea for his military responsibilities. Kim is a great defender, but 60 million is a crazy number to pay for any back line player. I feel like 40 million may be too much as well. Maybe in the end he moves back into his apartment.
According to la republica, Italiano and Barone had a sit down to put his future in the clear. They say he is staying put
If he moved out already, you have to imagine he is going to say yes to the first offer that comes his way
I don't think Kim likes life too much in Naples. He said post scudetto win that he feels "the passion of the Napoli fans can be overwhelming." Odd thing to say right after you won the championship
