Speaking of the pay wall, as and out-of-area guy I have suggested more choices designed for niche readers. I just want to read the RSL coverage and the price point isn't conducive to that.

Doesn’t even have to be a player. Hire Deion. (Joking. I hate Deion. But you get the idea).

It’s OK. I’m sure none of your kids on the teams you coach or are raising look on this blog. You’ll never win a political office. You aren’t working for the NSA.

Watched this game. Diego looked good but once the US went down a goal they couldn't cope. Also couldn't handle the pressure from Uruguay.

One side was better than the other. The result reflected it imo. Anyway, I’m not going to set myself up for disappointment in case Pablo continues to not use Luna. Less than a week ago he said, ‘I hope he comes back better than when he left’.

Transfer window opens in 1 month. There are 5 league matches before then:
    6/10: home vs NYCFC
    6/17: road at DCU
6/21: road at STL (I'll be in attendance)
    6/24: home vs MNUFC
    7/1: road at TOR

Over/under is 6.5 points from those 5. What do you think?

There are 3 league matches between the open and close of the window:
    7/8: home vs ORL
7/12: road at KC (planning on attending)
    7/15: home vs RBNY

Over/under from those is 4.5 points. Thoughts?

Leagues Cup games are 7/22 vs SEA and 7/26 vs Monterrey. I highly doubt RSL makes it past those two games. The next MLS match is 8/20 at LAG. The USOC semi-final is 8/23.

RSL should/could get points from 4 of the 5 games through 7/1. I think that there are 7-9 points there for RSL so I might take the over in those games but it is RSL so they could lose all of those games.

I think I would take the under on the next 3. Win against ORL and draw against RBNY or vice versa.

Can't see them winning either SEA or Monterrey but that should be fun.

It was his response to a question in one of the recent post-game press conferences. I could be wrong about “less than a week ago”, but I feel pretty sure that it was.

Since we probably won’t get any points in the home matches, nor in St. Louis, I’ll go Under in the pre-window schedule. I’m also going Under during the window.

A big reason for my skepticism in these upcoming games is player availability. It hasn't been mentioned by the club, but Twitter is telling me that Sava and Julio will be with their national teams in the coming weeks. No idea how many games they'll miss and who else will miss games, too.

I thought I saw that Sava might be back for the STL match. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

It was after the LAG game, I believe
It was quite the statement. Not sure Pablo intended for it to come off as bad as it was, but it was bad

I'd missed that Julio got called in to his national team. Honestly a little surprised but good for him.

Looks like they're playing June 17th and 20th. I'd expect him to miss the DC and STL games at a minimum, maybe 1 more on either side of those two.

I'm sure every player wants to end up in Europe during their career and it would seem heading back to Brazil would be a step back for Sava.

My question is does Sava want out already? Rumors are rumors but it certainly feels like he isn't having the best of time here this go round for whatever reason. Nothing is perfect but I wonder if there is some tension in the locker room.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

I could easily see him being frustrated with the apparent lack of ambition from the club.

We saw it with Herrera, is Sava next?

I can't see him going to back to Brazil for a low-spending (assuming based on transfermarkt info), mid-table club.

This feels like the Ryan Smith era is finally beginning to take shape. I know you can point to Gomez, but Chico is a proven, expensive commodity.

This was the move I thought we were going to make over the offseason. I'd like to hear what held it up?

    Edit: What he said below
Cool thing, is it sounds like he's on the move now. Maybe he'll start training with the team before the window opens next month? I guess, as much as we can get away with?
