Just your typical late season attendance boost for a club that is sure to be fighting for the Supporters’ Shield! I just tried to exchange a ticket for that game and it says there are no seats available.
The Fan Appreciation Night gifts aren't that valuable. It sucks because that should be the 2nd Annual Barnburner's Tailgate.
how do they sell tix for a game like this that may move to Seatgeek? Bears play at home on October 1 but not again until October 15, so may be safe in Soldier Field
Pretty sure someone looked at the Bears schedule and determined that none of our games would have to move to Bridgeview this year based on the contract. It would be very “Fire” of us to end up only being able to sell 20k tix to the one Wednesday night game we could actually sell more to, though.
FWIW I was able to exchang a late July game that I know we will be out of town for the Miami game…about an hour ago.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Fire and MLS are smart enough to go for the money grab if possible and I think they should even if it's just a Messi bump. I recall a bunch of d-bags showing up when Zlatan played with LAFC. I don't exactly enjoy that but it makes financial sense.
I’m hoping this move spurs similar ones across the league. With respect to Shaq and Torres, we need better DP’s. In my fantasy “new MLS”, those guys are support level/TAM players, not stars.
Lol, so it looks like the team kept a bunch of tickets and is now reselling them at inflated prices. Seeing multiple people say Ticketmaster has “buy directly from Chicago Fire FC” tickets listed at $350. Not only are they screwing season ticket holders out of an opportunity to exchange tickets for this game, but they’re also undercutting some of the same sth’s who are trying to flip their seats for $500 or more. What a beautiful mess.
The team is actually helping us STHs if we want to sell our tix by making official tickets expensive. Call your ticket rep, they're making things work for STHs.
Not officially, but there are no seats available when you try to exchange, and they’ve released tickets at a higher prices, so same thing?
I am going to give them a call tomorrow, since I’m sure today hasn’t been the easiest going day for them- thanks for the tip.
if i was a smarter man then i could have made the transfer earlier in the day for the games I can't make anyways and funded next year's tix with the sale of those gotta figure the market will cool a good bit once they open up the upper levels though
I should have ordered my partial season ticket when my rep called again yesterday. I could have flipped this game and paid for the entire season!
I think TicketDictator has an algorithm that is behind this massive swing in price. They see the demand and the prices go up accordingly (obscenely). That said the club needs to make things right with its season ticket holders. They will open up the full stadium and they deserve presale rights on actual face value for those seats
Just bought the Miami 3 pack, like a sucker. $291 in total for two 400 level tickets to the Miami game, and some better seats for the next home game and some other game. Meanwhile, I have a single ticket in my normal section that I would like to actually sit in, but I can’t transfer tickets from any other games to the Miami game. Feels like a big fumble on the part of the team to have 400 level seats for $90, but also ******** me because I enable that bullshit with my own money.
