I don't want Messi in the MLS, but if that's what it is, then I'll buy every ticket with him near me. Just to see him play.

You guys are lucky in the USA to see the national team this past decade with all the friendlies they have had.

It's not a camel league, it's a football league, quality might be poor but it's no worse than the gun toting, redneck league.

The MLS is way higher in quality than the Saudi league. Cmon, dude… I give the MLS a lot stick but the Saudi is an absolute shit show on a number of levels. I could probably name 20 leagues better than the Saudi league.

    Plus, living in Miami>>>> Riyadh.

So messi to MLS. I really expected him to stay for 1-2 years more in Europe.

He’s not decided anything as far as I can see

We must be the favourites.. he’s got unfinished business with us plus he’s favourite to get another Balon D’or this season .. why beggar that up by going to the US or Saudi plus his wife wants well

The Argentine's entourage held a meeting with a Saudi delegation on Monday and requested that they postpone an expected move to the Pro League until 2024, according to GOAL sources. However, the Saudi representatives were surprised by the news, and told Messi's camp that their offer next year will be different from the €500-million-per year (£435m/$541m) deal currently on the table.

Catalan journalist and transfer expert Gerard Romero has confirmed that Barça's so-called "feasibility plan" has been approved by La Liga. This plan is said to be a detailed plan to explaining how the club can obtain €200 million in two years between the reduction of expenses and income.

One of these measures is to close Barça TV, the in-house production company that has been running since 1999. This has been said to cost around £11.5 million (€13m) a season.

Im so tired of these europeans disrispecting Messi, tbh

PSG are trash, their fans are trash
Barcelona should be kissing the ground he steps on and trying to do everything to bring him back, instead they are leading him on and making him look bad. What a bunch of ungrateful assholes.

No offense to USA but it would be sad for the greatest footballer of all time to end up in a country in where they dont even know or respect the sport (and they even call it soccer!)

So, all in all, this makes me sad for my personal GOD MESSI, who deserves the BEST

The ideal scenario is for him to return to any team in Argentina, be worshipped every second of every day, be surrounded by his people and the best futbol culture in the world, it would be a win win situation....maybe sometime in the future

In any case i will support whatever MESSI decides to do cause he earned it, but some of these scenarios would be sad and im frankly tired of these european assholes.

The Brits called it soccer first, then promptly forgot they ever did or at least pretend to forget. If anything it's closer to the proper name than football as it's an abbreviation of Association Football (as compared to Rugby Football).

Miami keeps getting more noise around it. I think one thing I would hope for is they loan him to Barcelona for a year, as was rumored originally. That would be best of both worlds!

. . . ok, everyone can impeach my opinion because I happen to live in Miami. . . but Messi coming to MIAMI IS THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD SINCE MONTIEL SCORE HIS PK IN THE WC!!

I think that Messi might get "loaned" to Barca for the first year, so he can have his goodbye tour, but I will be buying my Inter Miami season tickets!! Which I'm guessing is increasing in price like DodgeCoin due to a Elon Musk tweet

I've been thinking if he might get loaned to Barca if he does join Miami but Im not sure that would happen...

I’m hearing Inter Miami are trying to sign Luis Suarez and Busquets as part of their plan to further tempt Messi.

Really the whole thing makes sense. With Copa America next year and the WC shortly after, Inter Miami probably have tons of backing from the MLS/USSF, who want to ramp up interest in the sport.

But it is crazy to see an MLS team have more bargaining power than top European sides. Not long ago that was unthinkable..

So, I read that Messi is willing to play for free at Barca. The issue in hand is that Barca needs to dump salary… I’m not sure if this has to do with FFP or what. It all seems convoluted.

I tried to buy season tickets for the Inter Miami 2024 season, they were sold out this morning.

People buy on rumors. But might be real.

DiMaria is also a free signing right now.

The thing is, as much as I’d like to see Messi in Europe, I don’t think Barca deserves him. They kicked him out like a scrub last time around, and even now I get the impression that they’re using him more as a political pawn than as a valued treasure.

I wish Inter Milan or one of those would come through with a 1-2 year contract offer… oh well

Are they still playing with those terrible pink kits? They need to redo their jerseys before our boy arrives

Seems like it. Messi pushes the needle, and that’s just a fact. I remember a few years back when we played Guatemala in a friendly here in Los Angeles. Majority of the World Cup winners were playing( edit. I take that back, a few were here) but Messi was not here and the stadium was practically half full. If Messi was playing, it would’ve been a sold out event. The organizer were pretty salty about Messi not making the trip.

How about a Miami Vice themed kit? The Heat had something similar. I’d get behind that.

Tata is also rumored to manage Inter. I am okay with this notion. I mean, he did help us during the mundial. :D

It is a bit sad that his European career is all but over but he could do whatever he wants. The man helped put a third on our shirt.

I guess I will tune into MLS games every now and then. It will be watching a man v boys.
