Looks like we lost the race to Ugarte with PSG offering 2.5x more in salary

Mount in the meantime is loving the spot light and is good as gone.

We absolutely need to improve our CM spot.

I wouldn’t be mad at moving for Youri Tielemans on a free once we clear out some deadwood. He’d be a good EPL proven CM that can provide depth behind Enzo and whoever we target to pair with him.

Yikes. We need at least 1 new CM, probably two. We have ONE guaranteed starter for next year:

    Enzo: Obviously a keeper

And a whole squad of question marks:

Kante: Haven't heard much noise so far, but seems like he could go. Even if he stays, can we count on him being available?
Kova: Leaving most probably, and I'm not too sad about it. Good player, some nice memories, but not great
Mount: Lot's to say here but he's probably gone
    RLC: Time's up
Connor: Sounds like he could go too. Probably not good enough for us though I like him personally
Chuk: Might (should) go on loan. If he stays he's not a starter yet
Casadei: Ripping up the u21 WC right now. He's good. Is he ready?
Hall: Might be good to keep this year as a bench guy. He prob wants a loan so he can play though

So yeah, we gotta buy someone. Obviously

Leandro Paredes? . . . well PSG do not need him or want him. He would be available on a FREE. He will be 29 at the end of this month. Which seems Ancient compared to our current transfer targets, but, hey, some grown ups is not a bad thing either. He has played with Enzo before. Saurri tried to sign Paredes for Chelsea many moons ago.

Kovacic and Kante will need replacing.

Right. Forgot him. Should definitely be in the squad next year.

Still leaves us needing at least one proven option though

Our new goalkeeper? Chelsea are discussing Mike Maignan from AC Milan. His name came up while we were discussing the transfer of RLC to AC Milan.

Players at AC Milan are very unhappy since the sacking of the football Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

Rafael Leao signed a new deal already. IF only he had waited a week.

Are we that unhappy with Kepa? How much of an upgrade is really out there?

We were unhappy with Kepa and we got Mendy . . . .and now we are unhappy with Mendy . . . .and we are still a bit unhappy with Kepa as well. It is exhausting. But the feeling is we need a better No.1. goalkeeper. Kepa cannot handle crosses and Mendy cannot play the ball out from the back. Are there serious available upgrades out there? Possibly. We are looking for a new shiny goalkeeper.

We need a better GK. He’s back to his Sarri form which is good enough but not elite. We have much larger issues than GK tho. He’s fine for another year. Especially as his fee will continue to be spread out for FFP.

Reading Kante to the Saudi League…is SA the new MLS/retirement plan for European stars?

Good Luck to him/them. A Great player/s. Truly the Kante twins are amazing. What a legend he has been for our club. Wow! The salaries being offered. €100m per year until 2025.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is leaving Chelsea, and has been approached by Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab

Chelsea to sign Gabri Veiga from Celta vigo. The 21-year-old has a £34.4m release clause. He Is perhaps seen as the Mason Mount replacement.

Most of the Middle East and North Africa. And, once they start signing all the old codgers from the top leagues and there is nothing else on late at night . . . Benzema, Ronaldo, Kante, etc, etc. Zaha? Messi? Might have a peek. They have a lot of financial clout. The MLS is no longer the retirement destination for the old geezers.

I mean can't blame Kante for accepting 100m per year deal. Do you know how many Mini Coopers he can buy with that?

    From the Vision List. . . .

Diego Moreira - 18 year old (LW)/RW/AM) Benfica youngster on Chelsea's Vision 2030 list of players. Interest of PSG and Milan went nowhere. Recommended by an ex-player. He has pace and power. He is left footed, but plays down either side.

Moreira's contract at the Estadio da Luz expires on 30 June 2023, allowing Chelsea to swoop whilst only paying nominal compensation.
