USSF has made lots of missteps and errors, mostly glaringly and recently in their handling of the NWSL abuse scandal. And will continue to do so. It's going to be bureaucratic and it is going to be hampered by petty politics like all "non-profits" and all trade groups and all organizations with elected leadership, because it is literally all three. But, overall what has been accomplished since 1990, big picture, is pretty impressive. Hosting World Cups, winning World Cups, launching the first stable men's pro league in the US, launching the DA, etc. All on a literal shoestring budget to start, mostly done by volunteers, and now on a per capita budget that pales in comparison to other soccer nations. Yes, we're big and rich, but that hardly guarantees anything. Who is the current leadership? Cindy Cone, who became president 3 years ago. CEO JT Batson, who has been in the job less than a year? Sporting Director Matt Crocker, who was hired a month ago? Perhaps we should give these folks a chance to actually do something before stating that they've failed, no?
Hudson to a Qatari side. It's so surprising another conspiracy theory is shot down by real life facts. So glad he found a job so quickly after his courageous stand against US Soccer's attempt to bring different rosters to the NL and GC.
Former #USMNT interim head coach and assistant Anthony Hudson has his new job. Hudson announced on his Instagram that he’s joined Qatari side Al-Markhiya SC. pic.twitter.com/4B2rT2tz4U— Larry Henry Jr (@lhenry019) June 6, 2023

the fact that they already let berhalter fart around in MLs for a year before he was coach...while sarachan was interim....is crazy.... in total now.....the USMNT hasnt had a coach for nearly 2 years during berhalter's reign it makes me nervous that they might bring his incompetence back for more
This is crazy, al Markiya is a pretty tiny club in Qatar who were just promoted from the 2nd division last year. They managed to stay up, but they don't have a stadium or any real fan base so to speak. Would have thought he'd aim for something a little higher, but one of the good things about living in Qatar is you get to see these type of people around the supermarket, hotels (which is where the pubs and a lot of social life is), gyms, etc, even picking up kids from school... so I'll be on the lookout for him...
Oh, I thought you were just there visiting for the World Cup! Very cool to hear from someone who knows more about this club than what is written on the Wikipedia article
Erm don't know much about them, only that they aren't that great and one of the favorites for the drop... he'd better get some results or the fans may quickly turn on him... like all 5 of them As you can see, might he difficult to get tickets to Al Markhiya games....
