It must have been really hard to watch the game today if you were a Valencia fan. So many "what ifs" regarding Kang In Lee. He should have been a star at Valencia, not Mallorca, but poor club management and bad timing ruined everything. Valencia are lucky they recently won against Real Madrid too. Image if Kang In Lee had pushed Valencia down into relegation.
Don't know if there are many Spanish speakers here but I'm reading so much genuine love for 'Kangin' on Twitterverse from Mallorca supporters. They all have a sense that they were blessed to have witnessed the blossoming of a world class superstar this season - one who did it wearing their shirt. Mallorca finishing 9th and missing a UEFA spot by 2 pts is insane. His left boot was involved in 35% of their goals. Rumour stage but Napoli and Atletico front runners and Unai Emery a big admirer. Wherever he goes, he has to be starting. He'll turn 23 next FEB.
Means he should be as involved in any negotiations as he can. Agents look for lucrative deals, not necessarily what is best for their clients.
I'm surprised they love him so much. He literally unfollowed the club on social media after he threw a hissy fit because the club didn't sell him during the winter. Shows how much he loves playing there.
He's surpassed Son to be the best Korean attacker. His dribbling and passing is world class and he's clearly improved his shooting and speed. When he moves to a more reputable club, that will be solidified.
surpassed? LOL... he hasn't done shit yet. Take it easy - let him progress, grow as a player and produce consistently over several seasons. This is the 1st season he done anything noteworthy in professional football.
Mallorca fans aren't delusional. They were hoping not to get relegated this season. Remember, they only avoided relegation by a single pt last season and he didn't do anything that first yr with them. Now look where he took them? he doesn't owe them anything - he went there on a free. They know what they saw from him.
I just want to see a KMJ monster tackle and secure the ball and get it up to LKI who after escaping from 4 opponents puts a beautiful ball to Son breaking on the left side who touches it with his chest then lasers it into the top right corner for a 2-1 victory in the 90th minute...
I could see that. The current U-20 NT manager is called up to boost Klinsmann's staff for the World cup. After he works his magic, Korea NT becomes like Italian catenaccio of the best old times. Mbappe, Neymar, Dybala...all come up short against the K-Wall, while Son and LKI take advantages of gaps at the back of the frustrated giants. Final match is against my homeland- the Checkered zombies. Still, as the survivors of Train to Busan, Koreans have an antidote even against the eternal necromancer Modrić and the horde of undying zombies fuelled by underdog patriotism. I shed a few tears as the match ends 3-2, meaning the world has the first Asian football champion. But, surrounded by Korean tourists in a Croatian cafe, I then smile, and utter the holy 4 syllables. D H M G...
Kid is still not ready to sign for a "Big Club" quite yet (unless the manager rates him). With Atletico, they have been haggling over mere 7m euros with Mallorca. News speculations have been going around that Atletico only wants him because they want to renew that Hyundai sponsorship. Not to mention, he will be likely be rotting on the bench with minimal game time.... Should push for a move to Aston Villa or Brighton instead. He can not fk around with no game time like he did at Valencia ever again.
100% Paying the Asian tax. If he were a Spaniard, the hype would be unreal. Especially having produced this season at 22. If he were English, they'd have been queuing since JAN. He needs to play and play and then play some more. He's no "shirt" as the ignorant Brit wankers who've never actually seen him play, would label him. Villa and Emery could be fruitful. So could Napoli where they are no longet skeptics of Korean quality. Too bad Spalletti is gone, Kangin learning from Spalletti would've been massive for him.
I'm hoping Real Betis or Union Berlin come for him. The kind of ambitious clubs who need genuine but affordable quality.
A workmanlike team who play a cross-oriented game. Much more to my liking than most top teams. An excellent crosser/set piece taker is always in demand there. LKI could be their Shunsuke Nakamura- Celtic were very similar to Union Berlin at that time.
Matteo Moretto on Twitter: "Kang-In Lee no fichará por el Atlético de Madrid: las negociaciones, rotas. A lo largo de esta semana el futbolista coreano resolverá su futuro, que estará fuera de España. @relevo https://t.co/jOyi10o4XF" / Twitter Looks like Atletico is off. Now hopefully off to Brighton or Villa he go.
LKI and KMJ has one of the more interesting transfer saga I’ve experienced so far. According to Marca, PSG have emerged interest in signing LKI. If PSG does decide to bring in Jose Mourinho, maybe we can see LKI play as the 10. Which many KNT fans want him to play. With him possibly playing the role of Mesut Ozil in Mourinho’s Real Madrid days. If Jose and LKI end up at PSG it will be another rendition of Athletico but at least there’s Kylian to play off.
Well....about that. Fabrizio Romano on Twitter: " Kylian Mbappé has informed PSG of his decision: he’ll NOT trigger the option to extend current contract until 2025, it means that deal would expire next June 2024 — as L’Équipé called. PSG position: NO plan to lose Kylian for free. Sign new deal now or he could be sold. https://t.co/fDpSKOmxsf" / Twitter
