It was a while back, something about how scouts look for that as a sign of a player's confidence I think?

I've always said Sancho's only problem is he doesn't have a couple of chicks by his side. That and laying off the terrible English cuisine.

The more I see of him the more I’m excited about it. Seems like the aggressiveness of Vidic but also some ball handling skills of Rio. Combined with Martinez / Varane it should be a solid long term CB pairing

I think he's more unassuming and tidy than they were. He's not a big personality, but that might change at United. Hopefully the others rub off on him. With more confidence and growth, maybe he'll get to that kind of level, but I still think he can't touch Rio for the street skill set and Vidic for being a complete animal.

From my experience of having seen him, he's more likely at Lindelof's level, more like a rotation guy. That's where he's starting from. I don't believe he has the potential to be the world's best CB, but he's good enough to play this level.

Good to have some analytical context for this Kim Min Jae discussion.

I said that some of what I see he reminds me of those two and that I can get excited about the prospect - I did not go on to compare him against them - but I don't think I am the only one who rates him.

Video added above speaks to that

From what I’ve seen, he’s easily an upgrade on Maguire and probably a significant upgrade on Lindelof as well. My guess is Kim would be splitting time with Varane.

TBH just want to get rid of Maguire. Imagine Qataris buying Westham and sign Maguire for 50million. We need new filthy rich club owners willing to splash cash to get good money for Maguire.

So we won't know for sure, but the David Raya move should have been finalized early.

This £40 mil talk has to be crap.

It was said in the movie Moneyball. An old school scout complained a starting pitcher failed the girlfriend test. I don't know when it was said here and I didn't say it.

I like big girls, my wife is one so I would easily fail the test but thanks for thinking of me.

Basically everyone is saying we don’t think we’re going to land Kane this summer and Levy will only sell him abroad with Madrid looking most likely. Ah well. Hopefully we don’t get hung up on him.

Honestly, if we can’t get Kane I don’t think it’s smart to spend silly money on Osimhen who’s far from a sure thing. Hopefully his price scares us and we use a combo of players rather than one. Some combo of Hojlund/Ferguson/Ramos would give us some scoring depth and there’s a decent chance one of those guys makes the leap to the next level. We could probably land Hojlund and Ferguson for less than 100 mil combined.

2 young strikers, kind of tough.

After the last 8 years of immature attackers wasting chance after chance, we need to look at 1 of those 2 being a sure thing, or close to it. Some one thats reliable in front of goal.

    this.

aside from the fact that the rest of the team cannot adequately compensate for any short comings of a developing forward, the current team is also not the right environment to properly nurture a young player anyway

Fair, but if Kane is unavailable and Osimhen is too expensive…who is a sure thing? I don’t see any available unless we move for like a Vlahovic or maybe Laurturo but I don’t think either of those guys are sure things.
