With the type of game Tyler Adams has, he’s a plug and play guy at any elite team. Not a first eleven player. Up to him what he wants to do with his career. I’m okay with him being a rotation player at a top team. I don’t think it would hurt his national team performances. I think offensive players hurt more in that kind of situation ala Pulisic

    No wonder he's fat.

And, at 68, going on 69, I'm buggered if I'm going to commit to Leeds for 2-3 seasons, at least one of them in the Championship. Not when there's a decent chance of another firefighting job somewhere between Xmas and early March.

Only that club will surely be a bit better-run than Leeds.

    They could hardly be worse.

It’s early. They are trying to get a steal.

Very likely... but maybe TA wants that Groundhog Day feeling for his career and just wants to do last season all over again? If that's the case, at least he knows this is available...

As long as we're throwing out movie references, maybe Damned United is a better trajectory? Adams to win the CL with Forest. Twice!

Looking like American players are no longer trendy. We'll see how things end up.

I'm not sure what makes you say that. The season just ended (and there are still a few cup finals left to be played!).

Maybe Tyler is an admirer of Robin Hood.

Just the general trend with Pulisic, Aaronson, Mckennie, Musah, Dest, Gio. Almost all of our key players have struggled after the world cup.

The shine is definitely off a little bit. Now it’s meat and potatoes grind it out time.

It was always a bit dizzying to watch so many of our guys at big clubs and getting time. Happened all at once.

I never expected all of them to stick, that’s just the odds.

Of course I never expected all of them to struggle as they did.

    Been a ride………..of some sort.

Just gotta keep producing players. That’s all. We are getting there.

Thank goodness The Colts waived the other Tyler Adams, he's gonna have a busy summer in the press.

Articles and tweets today are linking him to Newcastle and Aston Villa. Newcastle makes sense, as they might want / need depth behind Guimaraes ahead of the CL.

Villa also makes sense. They're more likely to need a pure d-mid as they balance Conference League and the Premier League, and Adams can also rotate into the right back role being vacated by Ashley Young.

There are rumors on social media that Adams has reinjured himself, and is out for another 3-4 months, which will result in his staying at Leeds. I'm hoping this isn't true obviously. If it is, I'm sure we'll get some good sources on it soon.

The only source is small-to-mid sized podcast, and I can't find anything other than this tweet as a source of "information":
1668137781749506050 is not a valid tweet id

Presumably they talk about it on their next episode, but I can't find it anywhere (Spotify only has their June 7th episode up). As for the tweets, anyone who asks for a source gets a pithy reply:
    upload_2023-6-12_13-25-32.png

edit: their official feed doesn't have a new episode up (yet) and in some other replies they say that the source of the Adams' info is just "us", so unless these dudes have a ton of cred with Leeds supporters, I think it's safe to chalk this one up to "pure rumor".

That would be crazy if he had such a severe tear while basically rehabbing.

That's what I was thinking - it's not like they're rushing him back to get him into games more quickly. I'd imagine his rehab is as by-the-book as they can make it at this point.

I agree it seems pretty unlikely he would have reinjured himself since, to our knowledge, he never played or even trained again after the surgery. Hopefully it's just an unfounded rumor.

Either would be fantastic. Both are big clubs on the up, with exceptional coaches.

If true, it's testament to his quality that they're interested in him

would be better for him to go down a level - improve his offense - then jump back up and start for a top team, imo

Athletic poll of Leeds supporters and Adams is the played they least want to leave.

Or he could improve his offensive skill set with a team that doesn’t suck like Leeds, and has a competent offense, and plays at a high level. Playing in the championship isn’t going to improve his main objective as a DM as much as playing for a better team would.
