Oh La La La La, Allez! Allez! Makes you want to cover your ears. When Montiel hit the penalty, you could hear silence. Comedy.

No doubt but my hope is that (and it is something I have already mentioned) we get a 8-10 hour documentary of the World Cup. There were 7 games, and each would deserve some insight. Obviously the final will get more coverage but I think it is worth documenting. Not to mention, the final part would be the boys celebrating back home. As the FIFA documentary said, "It was written in the Stars." No doubt about that. Dibu's kick save, and then Cuti being there to head the ball out of danger to Otamendi. Any slight mistake here or there... well...
Obviously, and quite rightly, that save will go down in folklore and become legendary, but the header by Cuti, that ball was going straight to the French player and he would have had the entire goal to shoot at, was absolutely vital as well.
There's another shot by French player before that which Dibu dealt with , it bounced a bit like when Kahn failed save againts R9 shot, but Cuti was right in front of him to cover it.
The view and the quality of this vlog of the final is completely worth checking out. There's angles and details you have never seen before.
I never read about this before for some reason... but appearently Aguero WC winning medal is legit...? https://www.iol.co.za/sport/world-c...rs-medal-52b5b724-de53-4afd-a31c-795679e17336
I’ve mentioned this before but since the World Cup final, a day has not passed that I have not watched some video or saw some picture of our victory.
I have this pic on my wall. and this as my phone wallpaper So yea, I remember the victory almost every few minutes.
Today was the first time I have watched the entire game since the final, from start to finish. What surprised me most was just how dominant France was in the first half of extra time, before Lautaro and Paredes were brought on. Lautaro missed so many sitters but deserves a lot of credit for changing the momentum of the game. His link up play, movement, and holding onto the ball were elite. Shame his shooting boots weren’t on.
Because its basically all about adding some fresh legs at that point. Apart from Di Maria , our next sub was at 90+ minutes while France already made 4 at that point. Lautaro had two shots on target against Netherlands , they're blocked by the goalkeeper and Van Dijk. He also had two shots on target against France, one blocked by defender, the other one blocked by Lloris and Messi scored from it. As you said, his link up play in final third has always been naturally good in the NT.
To this day, I still don't understand why Acuna was the player to be subbed in for Di Maria instead of A. Correa. Also felt that Lautaro and Palacios should have been subbed in for Alvarez and RDP a lot sooner as they were tired. Except for Saudi Arabia and Mexico game, Scaloni improved a lot in knowing what players to start and had a masterclass vs France. His sub management during the game leaves a bit to be desired, but he is still very young and I'm sure he will get better with every game.
But he did pull a masterstroke near the end by putting in all our penalty takers at once ( Paredes, Montiel & Dybala ). France was doomed since Griezmann & Giroud has been benched. Griez has been their best penalty taker and would have taken the second one after Mbappe.
Agreed, Scaloni redeemed himself with that although felt Paredes should have been brought on more sooner to have more control of the game. I'm sure he will do the same for this upcoming Copa.
"That might not be the last cup he handles this calendar year" , Peter Drury when Messi lifted the Finalissima trophy.
