I bet you if Russia suffers an embarrassing collapse, the Sacks bros will pivot seamlessly to how it was all an unfair fight thanks to Biden's warmongering and then appoint China and Saudi Arabia as the new world order
Ukraine has retaken part of Bahkmut https://english.alarabiya.net/News/...e-has-retaken-part-of-a-settlement-in-Bakhmut
Seems like probing ops have definitely commenced Rob Lee says leopards were seen in the wild for the first time
The Putin deepfake on Russian tv is hella scary This will be tool that totalitarian regimes will use heavily. They are already reporting BS things. Imagine Iran using deepfake to show Biden saying USA must nuke Iran. Deeply disturbing thing going forward
Minor point of correction.. Ukraine actually never lost that part of Bakhmut... Being the very last part of Bakhmut that wasn't in Wagner control, Wagner was shelling the living crap out of it, so Ukraine pulled out. Once Ukraine pulled out, Wagner announced they had captured Bakhmut, but never actually moved any troops in to set-up positions and, instead, started to prepare their troops to be pulled out when Russian military troops replaced them. As a result, they never actually took that portion of Bakhmut and Ukrainian troops moved back into that section of the city.
The sheer fact Prigozin pulled Wagner so quicky is proof they knew they are not keeping it for long So why not blame the regular Russian soldiers for losing what the "elite Wagner units" managed to conquer
Speaking of Wagner! Prigozhin claimed over the weekend that the Russian military had mined the road that Wagner used to withdraw from Bakhmut. He didn't mentioned that there were any casualties as a result, just that the road was mined. There was also a firefight between Wagner and Russian troops, during which Wagner captured the commander for the 72nd brigade, beat the crap out of him, and made him admit fault for the firefight. Amusingly enough, the anti-Putin Russians that are doing incursions into the Belgorod area are offering Prigozhin a POW exchange of the Russian soldiers and police officers they've captured for the Commander. Liberty of Russia legion offers Prigozhin to exchange Russian pows for Lt Colonel Venevitin, commander of the 72nd Brigade, captured by Wagner yesterday. Unclear why Prigozhin would have any interest in this, it's very likely a PR move to attract attention. pic.twitter.com/GPCsu7Cm4O— WarTranslated (Dmitri) (@wartranslated) June 5, 2023
Hmmm. Not sure what to make of this, but so far, Russian telegram has shown videos of multiple abandoned Western vehicles. Just in the last few minutes, I've seen photos/videos of 3 AMX-10s that Russians claim were abandoned. Two more Ukraine AMX-10s apparently abandoned. https://t.co/CXiAXLxEnN pic.twitter.com/SUnMP6X0fE— Aldin 🇧🇦 (@aldin_aba) June 5, 2023
Western enabling of Russia's war machine1. Putin needs cash to fight his war2. His cash machine is built on oil exports3. He depends on western oil tankers to export4. In other words, the West has complete control5. We can stop Putin's money machine6. We just don't want to pic.twitter.com/QcisYFlZSd— Robin Brooks (@robin_j_brooks) June 5, 2023 What do you all think of this?
The tankers aren't necessarily taking the oil to European ports tho. Certainly a possibility, but I believe China and India are the primary destinations for Russian oil. HOWEVER, the good news is that even though these tankers mean Russia is getting money from their oil exports, the price that they are getting per barrel is just barely above the cost (and may even be below).
All but one of these arrows point to MLS cities. Does this mean that the real next MLS expansion target is Pittsburgh?
If the price of petrol rises above $6 per gallon, MAGA Republicans have won a landslide in the mid-terms and Trump is cantering to victory next November. Similar dynamics in Germany, France (remember the "yellow vest" riots), Italy, etc. Like @Yoshou said, it'd be nice to to kill all their revenues stone dead. It's necessary to keep global fuel prices low to keep popular support for buttressing Ukrainian resistance. Since that keeps Russia's revenues low, it's a necessary evil.
Which will prove how unconservative they really are. Historically, conservatives prided themselves on having a better grasp of reality, of the facts of political life you could say, and one of those facts is that a war may be unjustified but the there's no such thing as an unfair fight in war. Like Patton said "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his." The more "unfair" we Westerners can make this war, the quicker it ends.
As for when the Ukrainian offensive will officially start, tomorrow is the 79th anniversary of D-Day. Just sayin'
It should be noted that I'm starting to see chatter in the OSINT that these AMX-10s aren't actually abandoned, rather they are parked while the Ukrainians are resting. I believe someone already mentioned that Russian telegram has said Ukraine took several small towns and that these AMX-10s are in those towns. Relying off Rybar here, so standard Russian milblogger caveats apply.Russian forces were reportedly driven out of Novodonets'ke by Ukrainian forces using AMX-10RCs (misidentified as Leo 2s by the Russians), indicating that the Ukrainian 37th Marine Brigade made a push there. pic.twitter.com/yaU7plufNM— OSINTtechnical (@Osinttechnical) June 5, 2023 The thread I linked above is also wondering if taking these towns was a surprise for the Ukrainians. The force is reportedly a handful of AMX-10s and associated infantry, so the intent may have been to do a recon in force to test Russian lines and the Russians just legged it. So now the recon force has found itself to be a liberation force and are figuring out what they are supposed to do about that.
There's nothing in those two stills which shows that those vehicles have been abandoned (or haven't been either). Secondly, these are stills from a drone video. If you've taken the video, why aren't you showing video footage and not just two stills? Unless, of course, those AMX-10s haven't been abandoned at all. For an armoured vehicle to be abandoned it's either 1) run out of fuel (one of these very valuable killing machines, sure, but two of them? On the same day?), 2) the crews crapped themselves and ran (possible, but AMX-10s will get some of your best troops), or 3) been damaged and those two don't look damaged. At. All. More copium IMO.
All those are fair statements, but those stills are reportedly from videos on Telegram. The stills on Twitter are just for identification purposes as the pro-Ukrainian sources I follow are generally following Ukraine's desires to not show anything that could endanger OPSEC.
Also, if those vehicles really have been abandoned on the front line, there's a real danger of them being reclaimed by Ukrainian recovery units, so you call in artillery strikes ASAP. Then you can show of off before-and-after video of destroyed AMX-10s. As you said, they're just parked there and very possibly for the reasons you suggested - the Ruskies just crapped themselves and ran - and the Ukrainians had probably achieved their goals and were waiting for reinforcements or new orders.
If you told MAGA republicans that the price of petrol went to $6 a gallon I assure you MAGA republicans would have absolutely no idea what the ******** you were talking about.
I've seen one of those videos. There's nothing there to indicate abandonment. Not showing it, for obvious reasons
Ukrainian counterattack is a failure! Over 1500 Ukrainians dead! 28 tanks include 8 leopards, 150 IFVs, including 3 AMX-10s!!! Russian state media RIA Novosti about the events in Donetsk region."The total losses of Ukrainian troops amounted to more than 1,500 personnel, 28 tanks, including 8 Leopards made in Germany, 3 wheeled tanks AMX-10 made in France and 109 armored fighting vehicles".🤥🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/mYx5di4Zy0— NOELREPORTS 🇪🇺 🇺🇦 (@NOELreports) June 5, 2023 Russia would never lie about such things...
