As fans of an MLS team, are we supposed to root for the MLS team over the Liga MX team in CONCACAF Champion's League? 'Cause I sure enjoyed watching LAFC get their butts kicked at home.
Not going to root for another MLS club in any competition unless it helps the Quakes in the standings.
LAFC looked bad against Leon. It was a little more exciting than the Under 20 USA vs. Uruguay game but only because of the crowd. I would have liked to see an MLS team win the CCL but yeah I can also care less about any LA team and am sort of glad they lost.
I only watched the 2H. It felt like LAFC was not playing its big guns, like Vela… is that correct? I thought the reason LAFC was playing its kids lately was to preserve the big guns for CCL. Did it work out that way or not? I don’t know LAFC’s roster well enough to discern any difference.

Why would you make 5 changes in personal and change tactics in the biggest game??? Vargas did the same thing with the US20 team. Berhalter also had done it many times. What is it with these coaches over complicating things? They're not Guardiola and most certainly don't have the players to make them play any way they want on a whim. It's wild how they keep doing this time and time again, and everytime it's backfired.
Too many changes or not, I enjoyed watching a team really take it to LAFC. They didn't back down at all and had LAFC on their heels at times. It's like getting tired of dealing with the school bully and then some new kid shows up and lays it down. You don't mind seeing it. Cherundolo is blaming their loss on the salary cap.
I don't know if he's a punk but he comes off as very arrogant to me. For example after the Quakes beat LAFC at Levi's they asked him about Espinoza and all he would say is that "he's a good player", and then essentially shut off all further conversation by adding "...but we don't have to spend 5 minutes talking about him". And he wouldn't really give the Quakes credit for beating them, it was just - we controlled the game but we weren't sharp enough in the "final 3rds".
An arrogant punk. That's why I was not at all unhappy to see them have their tails handed to them by Leon. He tried to be gracious about it, but then threw it all away by blaming the salary cap.
Shit! I wish we got ARANGO https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/report-rsl-signing-former-lafc-striker-cristian-arango
I’m shocked that Arango would be going to RSL. Maybe he doesn’t realize Utah is Mormon country? Or maybe he will just transfer from there to somewhere else right away. Arango strikes me as a badass kind of guy, and I just don’t see him playing for Pablo Mastroeni, who as a coach is apparently Mr Ethereal.
Chicharito done for the season https://www.yahoo.com/sports/galaxy-star-javier-chicharito-hernandez-170147689.html
Wow, what a brutal season for him. He had 1 goal in 9 games played. Sadly, not sure it will impact LAG that much. More playing time for Joveljic.
