judging by some of the stuff i've read from their players, it sounds like they plan on going all out against us, so maybe not a great idea to have loads of debuts at once

    maybe mina with lucumi

Yerry I am not that surprised by after the way he played in England the last few matches to save Everton's season and with no Cuesta it makes even more sense. Glad to see him back.

Duvan is injured but who knows if he would have been called if healthy (Of if he is even cleared to play by now.).
The writing may be on the wall for Muriel here. Remember Pekerman saw him mostly as a LW so Lorenzo may be thinking along those same lines.

Possibly. Although I think the other two will probably be ahead on the totem pole.

We are going to be playing Germany in Germany, for such a game you need players that dont shit their pants when they see the German shirt that close so here I dont expect to much of a test.
In the Irak game, we have more options and space to test the newcomers like Salazar and Cortes.

All in all, it was a good call-up if we consider that James and Falcao aren't part of it.

These are pro athletes who should be able to handle this kind of work load, especially if they are u20. He’s at the age where his conditioning should be in a stage where handling this workload shouldn’t be concern. If anything, he probably wants to keep his “hot hand” going so he can showcase himself in a higher profile setting.

Besides, he will likely get some minutes off the bench on the 16th / 20th. So it’s not like he’s going to play two 90 minute games. I view it as a reward / taste of things to possibly come in the future

small roster for 2 games especially since these are the last games before Qualifers. Thought Perea said he would bring like 30

Taking aways Nacional and Millos goalies during a final to not play seems like a bad move.

    Awesome
    -No Falcao, Quintero or James
    - MINA IS BACK !!!

    Bad
    - No Angel? Thought he had a way better WC than Yaser
    - WTF is Cuadrado, Davison doing here
    - Uribe should be off the team now that he is going to Qatar to play
    - Palacio of Nacional got dropped
    - he only took 1 #9? Is Casseira a #9 or a winger?

Hope for Iraq. We let Mier debut, maybe give Montero the 2nd half

Also start alot of the guys without minutes. I really hope Vargas doesn't start both games or plays against Germany. Mier starting v Germany and doing well is a sure fire transfer.

Vargas gives me no confidence in the back with how bad he has been at goal for us

Fk does that kid Hurtado have better numbers then these guys?

I am pleasantly surprised by how the talent pool looks good for Copa America and the upcoming Qualifiers. The only concern I have is at the striker position.

JuanFer is still recovering, James and Falcao have not played in a while so do not celebrate just yet. I would not be shocked to see two of those three if not all three in September assuming they are healthy and playing somewhere.

Cuadrado played well for Juve the last few months of the season. As for Davinson he apparently trusts him within his system and Davinson has not played poorly in the friendlies he has started.

    Cassiera is a 9.

Vargas will probably start both matches. He has established himself as our clear #1 with Ospina out and the main #2 guy if Ospina is healthy by September.

I would like to see the other guys get minutes though.

I mentioned in an earlier post that Perea said the staff is looking at #9s who distribute the ball well and have good positioning on the field. Cassiera obviously impressed them on film in both those areas. He also may have a good chemistry with Barrios so why not give him a chance?

I personally would do an experimental lineup against Iraq and starters against Germany.
I think Lorenzo will probably do few changes though.

    * Edit- Maybe Lorenzo will do something like this against Iraq:

    -------------------Vargas----------------------------

    Cuadrado------Davinson-------Lucumi----Machado

    --------------Uribe----------Lerma--------------------

    ----------------------Carrascal-------------------------

    ---Arias------------Borre--------------Diaz

    Germany:
    --------------------Vargas----------------------------

    Munoz------Mina-------Lucumi----Machado

    ---------------Uribe----------Barrios--------------------

    ----------------------Carrascal-------------------------

    ---Cuadrado------------Borre-----------------------Diaz
