I want to go watch one of the games in the Netherlands

  7. Read my advice to one of the posters in here who did make a trip to Rotterdam about getting tickets.
Don't let it be a last minute decision.
Feyenoord already before the end of the season had sold out their season tickets, so only the free available tickets per match are for sale.
Given all matches are being (close to) sold out within days after tickets for a certain match are available, the window for getting one is very narrow.
So you better start planning now.

Agree with the post above with regards to ticketing, but it all depends on the opponent, how Feyenoord are playing, and what part of season. But when the team is flying it can sometimes be difficult to find.

There is an official resale platform on the website where ST holders can put their tickets for sale too. For some matches you csn only buy officially as a member. For the matches against the two main domestic rivals you need to be a member and have a million queue browsers ready on the sales date.

So never hesitate to post here and one of us could help you out or point you in the right direction. Or give you the actual relevant advice for that time that you're travelling.

  9. If a trip to the "Kuip" isnot a "must be", checking out the match Vitesse Arnhem- Feyenoord might be an alternative as that club hardly ever sells out their stadium.
Anyway, if you're going to make a trip my suggestion is to try to take a weekend with interesting matches on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

Wow, I didn't realize how difficult it was, but I think it would definitely be worth the hassle. Thank you for the advice.

I'll definitely reach out when I decide to go. Thank you in advance.

  13. Well, our new shirt sponsor Castore, who replaces Adidas, has presented our new home shirt. Adidas prevented the sales of Feyenoord shirts in Mexico and that's going to change. Now you can buy it with Santi on it!!

Why would Adidas do that? That's crazy

Castore tapping that Mexican market. They have a deal with Wolves (Jiménez), Red Bull Racing (Checo), Genoa (Vásquez), and now Feyenoord (Giménez).

  16. Only sales in the Feyenoord fanshops was possible, as Feyenoord had to everything themselves. Adidas wasnot helping whatsoever with sales, let alone abroad. With Castore it changes, as Castore is going to run the fan sales operations.
Another change is that with Adidas Feyenoord was restricted to shirt templates of Adidas, while Castore allows far more flexibility in design.

It meant that Adidas' previous deal with Feyenoord prevented and restricted the way the club sold their shirts. It wasn't done like the other big Adidas teams, but instead solely as teamwear made in bulk and then sold through their club store. This severely restricted sales of the shirts whenever Feyenoord would have a good season, for example last season reaching the Conference League Final, this season with the league title; that even in Holland the home shirts would sell out way before there was even a big demand for it, and would then not be available for purchase again. They could have sold many many shirts in this time.

The one annoying thing with this particular new Castore shirt, not their fault, is that Feyenoord signed a sponsorship deal for a back-of-the-shirt sponsor. Might make no difference for a foreigner who may think it looks cool, but for us fans it will take some time to get used to it.

Also if anyone here does order a shirt, be aware that squad numbers can maybe change in the next few weeks.

Now that Edson and Santi will remain in the Dutch league, how hard is it to get tickets to see Edson? Are you able to get tickets for both teams? If so, can I venmo you if you get them for me? Let me know. Thanks

  20. I'm not able to buy tickets, as to do so as a Dutch one must have a club card (you can only have it for one club), which I havenot got. It's to prevent fans getting mixed and to limit the number of away fans if necesary.
For a Feyenoord fan it's impossible to buy a ticket for the Ajax - Feyenoord match and vice versa, because no away fans of both clubs are allowed, because of fan troubles.
But foreigners havenot got those limitations.

I live in Italy and go to Rotterdam a handful of times per year as we also have a plant there, I was able to buy tickets to Feyenoord game to watch Santi. I purchased them as a foreigner so i didn't need to buy fan card but I did have to register with Feyenoord. When I went to Wolves in UK, I had to buy a foreigner fan card first for each team member to buy tickets for a game to watch Raul.
