So a thread after a long absence & also Al-Ittihad winning the league :D.

With Ronaldo, joining the league last season & many more rumors too good to be true. Thought of creating this thread to support anyone who might need any more info on the league & also to share some news and gossips.

I think Al Hilal this time. It will difficult for Ittihad to maintain their title.

It will definitely harm the NT & it has actually when the number of foreign players quota increased.

But overall people say, the team managed to qualify to Qatar with a game left to play and also beat Japan and Australia on the road.

Since its the government who is going to run the show, it will be hard to see anything south happens & the entire league is in drains. Also, the geographic location of KSA will help them a lot invite more players and fans around the world.

Overall, its a good strategy & will help the league a lot but I assume the timing is bad since most of the stadiums in Riyadh and Dammam will go refurbishing for the Asian Cup. Nasser will be playing in Mrsool Park, Hilal and Shabab most probably in Shabab's new stadium. The infrastructure which most of the european players think about might be lacking.

Jeddah will be fair with King Abdullah and Prince Abdullah stadium hosting Ittihad and Ahli matches respectively.

We'll see how much time will last this. I see the second division is quite strong as well for a second tier. Quality players like Mbolhi, Yazid Abulailla or Isael Barbosa played there last season.

By the way, do you know some newspapers sites where I can see news about Saudi football, not only about first division but also the inferior leagues. Al riyyadiah is good

Could the Saudi Pro League's top eleven hold up in Europe's top leagues? Wat do you think?
