See us linked to the boy but I'm not sure. Empoli should sell for cut rate, for good of the league

Baldanzi is a real talent. If Milan can sign him would be great.

That Colombian team was no slouch. They have good young talent and should be pleased about their future. I, too, have been really impressed by Zanotti and his ability to transition from attack to defense on the wing. Sometimes if I squint, it's like watching Zanetti instead of Zanotti. Obviously he has a long way to go, but Inter would be STUPID to sell him.

My only reservation about Casadei is whether his physical advantage will translate to big boy calcio. We shall see. If he reaches a Dino Baggio level, that is still really good.

I think Inzaghi likes him..so unless he's fired, I think Zanotti will stay. Btw, that Cortes kid is really good. Wonder where he will be next year?

he was supposed to sign for Lens, they had an agreement done pre WC but the deal was not finalized and now there are supposed to be more interested teams (some Serie A teams too). Im guessing his club are going to ask for more money now.

Baldanzi's price is going to keep going up. This is where clubs have to have foresight to make investments. They probably could have had him for 10-15M pre world cup. Now he's going to be much more expensive. These Serie A directors really lack vision sometimes.

As good as he is, I think he can get better. He just turned 20, is still growing, and if he improves his right foot, he could be even mroe deadly.

I will pursue him for Roma unless PSG or Madrid comes in with a better offer.
Portugal called me in December but I do not want to coach them.

Tonali is the only one who could have gone to the senior national team, Kean on the other hand was either in the U21 or staying at home, so he better play (the U21 tournament this year counts as Olympic qualification)

I've never understood the need to throw bones to the U21s like this. We don't need to keep playing young talented guys like Tonali on the U21s. He's been one of the best midfielders in Serie A the last 2 years. He should be on the full squad full stop.

This reminds me of how we treated Pirlo. He was a star at the U21 in 2000 and we won the tournament. Goes on to star at Brescia and Milan. Why does he need to be called up to the U21s again for 2002 when he is 23 yrs old?

I get it...we are loaded in midfield. But frankly if Tonali means getting over-the-hill guys to move on (like Jorginho) then we need to do it.

It's my understanding that it was an agreement between Mancini and Tonali since this U21 tournament is pretty important

Ya really think they want Italy to win this one at all costs...its honestly a better than team than the bottom 10 in Serie A. What a June it will be if Italy can win the World Cup Under 20, this and Nations League

Since my knowledge of English is basic (and therefore I use Google Translate) I ask you to forgive me, but I will try to explain the Italian situation to you.
Now you can have all the talents you want, but if you can't find teams or coaches that let them play, it's as if they weren't there. To be clear, the U20 team qualified for the U20 World Cup by finishing in the top four of the U19 Euro and checking the presences among the PROs, we had that the reserve forward of France U21 had more appearances among the PROs than all the U19 players Italians combined. Now, however, I'll explain a little bit about both Nunziata's flaws and strengths, let's start with the flaws:
the first defect is that of being tactically rigid, his favorite tactic is the fixed 4-3-1-2 and this leads him to ignore the wingers (or to transform them in many cases into attacking midfielders) and this means that many players, even talented they are ignored by him regardless
The other defect is that once he has taken a liking to a player he always summons him even if there are better alternatives (for example, during the last edition of the U17 World Cup where he was coach he had full-back Right Lamanna play as a starter who was scarce while could have made Barbieri play).
The main advantage of Nunziata is that in any case he has a clear concept of how to make the team play and he regulates himself with that.
Having said that, he really had problems making his call-ups because since the U20 World Cup is not part of the international windows many clubs have refused him players, this is in my opinion the team that would have brought
    ----------------------------Desplanches-----------------------------
    Zanotti-----SCALVINI--------COPPOLA------------MULAZZI
    --------------------------Faticanti-------------------------------------
    -----------FABBIAN----------------------Casadei------------------

    ----------GNONTO------------------------Ambrosino-------------

    Guarino
    Giovane
    NDOUR
    Baldanzi
    VOLPATO
    NASTI
(in capital letters those that are not there)
As you can see, many are missing and above all there are players who have been part of the group since the U19 qualifiers, which is much more grace than the lack of a very strong player, but who had not been part of the team until then.

Well the problem is not how the team is playing now and how Nunziata would have made the call-ups and I can guarantee you that Baldanzi would have been considered Miretti's backup, Giovane would have been considered as a right-back (even if in reality he is a central midfielder ) and Pafundi would not even have been call-up.
I put the call-up made by Nunziata to Euro U19
